Yes, got this news from a insider that MSIL is going to launch a Swift Sedan called DZire with a ZDi variant very soon. The ZDi variant will have all the features of the ZXi but with a diesel heart & a boot making it a very VFM saloon.
Also the SX4 is not going to get the 1.3L DDIS engine of the Swift, but a all new 1.9L DDIS engine which produces 120bhp and mind blowing torque. So the biggest manufacturer in India has yet to release its real kill against the competitors, mainly Honda.

Wow, you’re an insider now? Great. I’ll be coming to your website more regularly.
Suzuki has a great clout in Asia but stands for very little in North America. They are trying though and they’ve even launched a pickup truck to get new interest:

Thanks ed, yeah i do get a bit of inside info.
I totally agree with you in America, Suzuki stands for very little. They sell rebadged Chevrolet cars(which are in turn rebadged by GM as Chevrolet from Daewoo) Example being the Chevrolet Optra in India is the Suzuki Forenza in America.
Cheers

‘m really glad to hear the news.. I was a little disappointed initially when I heard MUL was gonna put the 1.3 in the SX4.

Ravi - I was also a little disappointed when iheard that MUL will put the 1.3L engine, as the SX4 weighs much more and it definately needs a 1.6L diesel if not more. Good thing MUL is putting a 1.9L DDIS

I guess the Maruti 1.9 DDiS engine won many awards just like the 1.3 DDiS ? Suzuki created the wonder 1.3 DDiS but Fiat claims its the same Multijet I never believed Fiat, now as Maruti is creating another wonder engine 1.9 DDiS !!! Fiat only copied their engine and named it Multijet. Saale chor

Mr Anonymous
It is Maruti who borrowed the Multijet Engine From Fiat….Please do understand that “Fiat is a pioneer in diesel engines and is ahead of Maruti by Light Years”
