What is Mahindra trying to become? Some sort of fleecing company or what? This thing should be sold as an extra variant and Mahindra should build it as it is if they have somewhat sense.

    • Sudheer

Hi Sumit, if they launch new, they’ll have to pay all sorts of duties and levies and to avoid all those hitches, normally the manufacturers will build on the same platform/chassis with an additional name embossed on it. It’s also the time and money factors that influences such decisions to go on existing platforms/chassis (for e.g., Renault and Nissan are the same group companies and all their models and makes are built on a common designed chassis/platforms. only the brand name changes).

Mahindra’s have very good role to play in the future automobile market. their concepts are appealing and acceptable to the auto lovers. they’re unlike other Indian auto manufacturers. Till today, none other diesel engine manufacturers could beat them in India. I am a fan of their vehicles (be it a Jeep, MUV or SUV).
