Garware Motors recently announced more Hyosung motorcycles for India. The company plans to launch the GT650 naked, GT250R and we believe even the GT250. The GT250 is essentially a street fighter version of the GT250R, without the full fairing. The headlamps seem to be borrowed from the Yamaha FZ series, whereas the rest of the bike remains largely unaltered. The 249cc, V-Twin engine continues to power the GT250, producing 29 bhp of power at 10000 RPM and 23 Nm of torque. With the company planning to assemble bikes locally, we can expect aggressively pricing to take on the Honda CBR250R head on. It is highly likely that Garware Motors will showcase this machine at the upcoming 2012 Auto Expo.

The naked streetfighter version of the GT250R also features USD forks and fuel injection. With a weight of just 155 kgs and chunky 110/70-17 (front), 150-70/17 (rear) wheels, the Hyosung GT250 is the right motorcycle to heat up the 250cc segment. With Suzuki scheduled to enter with the GW250 and Bajaj-Kawasaki considering a price revision of the Ninja 250R, we can expect the performance biker to be spoiled for choice.
