We have craved for the MINI brand for years and it is finally here. BMW unveiled the MINI range for India at the 2012 Auto Expo and has 4 models on offer. We have already spoken extensively about the models, specifications and prices of all the MINI vehicles available in India, so we will not dwell into it further. The MINI range starts at Rs. 24.90 lakhs and goes all the way to Rs. 31.99 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom).
Only petrol engines are available and the cars are brought in as CBUs. If BMW sees good demand, they might start assembling MINI Cooper in India. MINI was earlier scheduled to arrive in 2009 but was delayed by the German automaker due to unfavourable market conditions. With Volkswagen bringing in the 2012 Beetle with a diesel heart, Mercedes planning the A-Class and Audi contemplating the A1, the hot hatch war has just commenced.
