2013 Nissan Micra India

Nissan has given the Micra a facelift, which is a mid-life update before the next generation model arrives a couple of years down the line. The Micra is also known as the March in certain countries and the Japanese car maker has officially pulled off the wraps of the facelifted model. The 2013 Nissan Micra gets mild updates to the exteriors, which includes a re-designed front bumper, new head lights, new fog lamps, new front grille with V shape chrome inserts, new alloy wheels, new tail lights and a new rear bumper. The body shell of the Micra remains unchanged.

On the inside, the 2013 Nissan Micra facelift gets mildly updated interiors where the centre console has been completely redesigned. The new centre console looks upmarket and features square AC vents instead of round ones found on the old car. The AC controls have been lifted from the Sunny and the steering wheel gets audio controls as well. Just the complete change of the centre console has made a major difference to the interiors of the Micra. The dashboard is finished in slightly darker grey, compared to the light brown and beige colours on the old model.

Nissan has also added more features to the Micra including climate control, electrically retracting rear view mirrors, chrome door handles on the inside, twin glove box, boot light and reverse parking sensors to name a few. Nissan will continue to use the same 1.2-litre petrol (75 BHP, 104 Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel (64 BHP, 160 Nm) engines which are mated to 5-speed manual transmissions. The petrol Micra will also be offered with a XTRONIC CVT gearbox. The company will launch the updated Nissan Micra in the Indian market soon, with a lower priced variants to target the volume segment.
