2014 Mercedes S-Class Price

Mercedes-Benz has launched the sixth generation S-Class in India, internally codenamed as V222. The 2014 Mercedes S-Class is being offered in India in only one variant initially, the S500 and the diesel model will go on sale in the sub-continent later this year. The S500 uses a 4.7-litre twin-turbo V8 engine to output 453 HP and 700 Nm. It is mated to a 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic gearbox. The new S-Class has taken a major leap over its predecessor in almost every area which enables it to keep its “Best Car In The World” tag intact.

The 2014 Mercedes S-Class (S500) is priced at Rs. 1.57 crores (ex-showroom, Delhi). All 125 units of the launch edition have been booked, in just a matter of 16 days. New bookings are being taken for delivery in April.

The all new Mercedes S-Class has the same wheelbase as the old model but interior room has increased and there are a slew of comfort oriented features including a variety of massage functions. The car not only sees improvement in terms of rear seat comfort but is also more technologically advanced with features which can truly shame even the best of gadgets in the market today. The S-Class also takes a forward leap when it comes to safety systems and Mercedes has gone ahead and done stuff which proves why the S-Class is the pinnacle of automobile engineering.

The new S-Class has been a massive success for the company with more than 30,000 bookings received worldwide forcing an increase in production and overtime for factory workers. Mercedes-Benz says 2014 is the year of excellence for them and the company will focus on brand building. The S-Class is the company’s flagship and also the first launch for Mercedes-Benz India in 2014. Other cars expected from the Stuttgart automaker includes the new C-Class, CLA sedan, GLA compact SUV and S63 AMG.
