Hero Splendor Pro Classic Front

The Splendor has been one of the most best selling models in the Hero lineup for a long period now. This time and tested model has seen the ups and downs of the industry and has been a consistently known for its frugality and reliability. Giving a fresh lease of life to the Splendor, Hero showcased the Splendor Pro Classic motorcycle at the 2014 Auto Expo.

The Hero Splendor Pro Classic essentially gets revised retro styling to look like a cafe racer, albeit with the same mechanical powertrain. The motorcycle gets a new handlebar, classic round headlight and tail light, cafe racer cowl and additional chrome parts for the front and rear fenders, winkers and suspension. Completing the look are round rear view mirrors.

The Splendor Pro Classic retains the mechanical powertrain from the regular Splendor. Powering the motorcycle is an air-cooled, 4-stroke 97.2cc APDV engine (also powering the Passion Pro) capable of producing 7.7 BHP of power and 8.04 Nm of torque and is mated to a 4-speed transmission. Hero has actually done a good job and it does not look out of proportion or just a bolt on job. It does look heavily inspired from the Continental GT though.
