Hyundai HND 9 Concept Front

Hyundai India showcased the next generation luxury coupe concept HND-9 Venace at the 2014 Auto Expo. The coupe concept is a representation of the Korean car maker’s future of the current Fluidic Sculpture Design language.

The vehicle has a dominating design with an equally intimidating presence. The concept measures 4695 mm in length, 1890 mm in width and 1340 mm in height with a 2860 mm wheelbase. The design language with its voluptuous proportions could be the underpinnings for the next generation Genesis Coupe sold internationally.

The Fluidic design gets more mature character lines that stretch from headlights to the boot, while the long hood and a pronounced wheel arches give the ultimate futuristic sports car look. The wide chrome grille adds a premium touch to the concept coupe. The car features butterfly doors, sculpted rear combination lamps and dual pipes are the rear giving the car a clean and sleek look. Hyundai has provided the HND-9 concept with 21-inch alloy wheels mixed with carbon materials induce loads of style. The interior on the other hand gets a sporty and tech induced futuristic layout. The driver-oriented high-tech user interface is modeled after a cockpit and offers both functionality as well as practicality, providing an optimum driving experience.

The HND-9 Venace concept is equipped with a 3.3-litre GDi engine capable of producing 370 PS of power. The power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. While we may not get the Genesis coupe anytime soon on Indian shores, the new Fluidic sculpture styling is sure to make its way in Hyundai’s Indian lineup starting with the all new 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe launched today at the Auto Expo.
