Hyundai Grand i10

The Grand i10 has been one of Hyundai’s most recent success stories. Winner of numerous accolades, the hatchback recently managed to cross the 1 lakh sales milestone within just 10 months of launch and continues to average out around 10,000 units per month easily. With frugal petrol as well as diesel powerplants, the Grand i10 has been giving though competition to its rivals in the country. The South Korean company has now silently launched the LPG variant of the hatchback that is available in Magna trim only.

The Hyundai Grand i10 LPG variant however, is not powered by the 1.2-litre Kappa motor available on the standard model, but instead uses the new 1.0-litre 3-cylinder motor. The very same engine is also found on the updated Eon 1.0-litre variant producing 69 PS of power and 94 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. However, the power has been de-tuned to 67 PS and 92 Nm when powered by LPG. The Grand i10 LPG returns an ARAI certified fuel economy of 20.3 km/l.

The Hyundai Grand i10 comes with factory fitted LPG kit that has a capacity of 34-litres. Hyundai is also offering a 2-year unlimited kilometres warranty on the model along with the option of a metallic paint job at an extra cost. There have been no other changes to the car otherwise and it gets all the features from the Magna trim inclusive of keyless entry, central locking, fog lamps, power windows, electrically adjustable OVRMs, rear parking sensors, Bluetooth connectivity and much more.
