It comes as no surprise that the Kawasaki H2R is every bike enthusiast’s wet dream. The exorbitant amount of power and absolutely outlandish styling will turn even most noble of saints into bike enthusiasts. Defying laws of physics to a great extent, the H2R has been one of the most prominent launches this year and also showcases the Japanese manufacturer’s product design strategy for almost the next two decades. Having unveiled the H2R at the INTERMOT show in October and its road going version the H2 at the EICMA show earlier this month, Kawasaki has now announced the prices of both the models.

Starting with the road going, marginally less powered Kawasaki H2, the superbike has been priced at 22,000 Pounds or Rs. 21.3 lakhs in the UK with sales scheduled to start from March 2015 onwards. In addition to the prices, Kawasaki also announced that the UK spec version will be equipped with Akrapovic curved carbon fibre three-dimensional muffler offered as a standard fitting. The H2 uses the 998cc liquid-cooled, supercharged engine that is capable of producing over 200 PS of power at 11,000 RPM and 113.5 Nm of torque at 10,500 RPM, paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

The more powerful and track only Kawasaki H2R on the other hand has been priced at 41,000 Pounds or Rs. 39.56 lakhs in the UK and comes with front and rear paddok stands, an Akrapovic exhaust system and tyre warmers as part of the standard kit. The H2R uses the same 998cc liquid-cooled, in-line 4-cylinder, supercharged engine that is capable of producing in excess of 300 HP of power, while the body is made of ultra strong and light carbon fibre. Kawasaki will be limiting the numbers on the H2R to maintain its exclusivity with the hyper bike being only available to a very lucky few. The H2 will be sold in India with the launch most likely scheduled sometime during next year.
