2015 Chevrolet Sail 3 Sedan
The Sail 3 looks much better than the current generation by miles

It seems General Motors Shanghai is on a roll. The company has showcased as many as 32 vehicles at the ongoing Guangzhou Auto Show in China. These vehicles are a part of the Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac brands all of which come under GM. Out of the showcased vehicles, the new Sail 3 sedan and the Camaro RS seem to be the most significant ones. The Sail 3 is a significantly refreshed version of the current Sail sedan and it comes with heavy changes inside out. This one will go on sale in China by December 2014 and it will surely make its way to India in 2015.

The new Chevrolet Sail 3 is built on the company’s new small car architecture. The exteriors have been completely restyled and we dare to say that new Sail makes the current generation look too pale in comparison. The grille is wide and comes with a huge Chevy logo. The headlights have a striking design. Overall, the front of the vehicle reminds us of the new Ford Fiesta up to an extent. The interiors of the vehicle have also been heavily updated. A dual cockpit design, similar to that of the Cruze, will now be seen in the Sail. GM must have also added a whole new feature list to the sedan now.

Powering the 2015 Chevrolet Sail 3 are two engines – 1.5-litre DVVT and 1.3-litre VVT petrol units. Both the engines will get a start-stop function and manual as well as automatic transmissions. The powerplants have been tuned to provide more fuel efficiency which is claimed to be 18.86 km/l. In India, the Sail gets a 1.3-litre oil burner and a 1.2-litre petrol engine. The Sail 3 looks like a good attempt by GM and if it is marketed well in India at a good price tag, who knows, Chevrolet might just turn around their fortunes.
