Taking a giant leap in its global expansion phase, the world’d largest two-wheeler maker by volumes has appointed ace golfer Tiger Woods as its new global brand ambassador. Signed for an undisclosed amount, Tiger Woods will be the face of the company for the next four years as the two-wheeler manufacturer plans to capture developed markets including the US and Europe in the following years. In India however, Ranbir Kapoor is more likely to continue as brand ambaddasor.

Considering the fact that Tiger Woods is the world’s richest athlete, it’s a given that the sports celebrity would have come at no ordinary price and makes Hero MotoCorp the first Indian manufacturer to have a global icon as its ambassador. Ahead of its US debut next year, Hero has commenced promotional activities in the country and is also the title sponsor for the PGA event World Challenge in association with the Tiger Woods Foundation. Hence, it comes as no surprise that that the official announcedment on the deal came in days before the challenge commenced.

Despite being the largest two-wheeler maker globally, Hero is still seen as a domestic manufacturer making low-cost motorcycles. The inclusion of Tiger Woods however will elate the brand on a global scale not just in the US, but globally as well. With Tiger being one of the most recognized celebrities in the world, it will certainly help Hero bring in more friends to join the cause. Stating further, Hero also said that both Tiger and Hero represent the best in their respective professions and will help strengthen the brand in the process.
