Honda CB Unicorn 160 Features

The major update on the 2015 CB Unicorn 160 comes from the new 163cc 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine. The new motor gets equipped with a spiney sleeve, counter balancer, needle bearings and longer strokes that offer a higher compression ratio and impressive power output without compromising on fuel efficiency. Honda has also incorporated its Honda Eco Technology (HET) on the bike that ensures effective use of fuel for improved mileage figures. The CB Unicorn 160 comes with an all digital instrument console that incorporates the tachometer, speedometer, fuel level, digital clock and odometer very easily.

The design on the other hand takes inspiration from the CX-01 concept and is aerodynamic and reduces wind resistance. The side mounted engine cowl holds the 3D Honda logo, while the black and silver cladding adds a modern appeal to the aesthetics of the bike. The rear also gets new H-shaped LED tail lights, while the look is completed by the sporty exhaust muffler. Honda has added a wider handlebar on the Unicorn 160 that allows for easy manoeuvrability. The top-end trim also gets the Combi-Braking System (CBS) that uses both the front disc and rear drum brakes together to reduce the braking distance by a considerable margin.

The 2015 Honda CB Unicorn 160 will be available to customers from the third week of January next year and will be offered in a total of 4 colours namely sunbeam white, pearl black, imperial red and geny grey. The Japanese manufacturer has positioned the new CB Unicorn 160 as a value for money offering without compromising on performance, features, fuel efficiency or comfort and aims to capture the 150-180cc segment further in the years to come. Still Honda will have to watch out for the upcoming Pulsar 160 NS.
