The 2015 Hyundai Verna gets a comprehensively redesigned front fascia, while the interiors will get new features added to the list and a new 6-speed automatic transmission.

2015 Hyundai Verna Facelift Undisguised
The front fascia gets new grille, projector lights, LED DRLs & revised front bumper

Ahead of its launch on 16th February, the 2015 Hyundai Verna facelift was caught testing completely undisguised in the country revealing all the changes on the updated model. Already on sale in Russia and China as the Solaris and Accent respectively, the 2015 Verna gets an extensively redesigned front fascia distinctively differentiating the model from the outgoing version. The single-slat grille has been replaced by a wider two-slat chrome unit, while the new headlight cluster incorporates LED DRLs as well as projector units, expected to be standard across most variants.

Completing the changes up front is the revised bumper that features a wider air-intake and new triangular fog lamps for a sporty look. The side profile is largely the same as the outgoing model apart from new alloy wheels on offer, while the rear sports a mildly changed bumper and new LED tail lights. On the inside, the 2015 Hyundai Verna facelift will continue with the existing layout but is set to get a new touchscreen infotainment system likely to include navigation as standard. The feature list will also see some new additions and we expect more safety equipment to be on offer.

Under the hood, Hyundai Verna facelift will see no changes to the existing 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines, but are likely to be tuned for improved fuel efficiency over the outgoing model. Earlier speculations also suggest that the sluggish 4-speed automatic transmission on the current model will be replaced by a new 6-speed unit, offering much improved shifts. There are high chances of Hyundai tuning the suspension for improved handling as well as ride quality. While details are not officially out yet, a clearly picture is expected next month near the launch date.
