While not many know about the presence of Aprilia and its products in the country, the Italian motorcycle maker owned by Piaggio makes some of the finest machines there are to buy including the RSV4 Factory, Tuono V4, Dorsoduro 1200 ATC and many more. Adding another shiny armour to its arsenal, Aprilia will soon launch the ‘Shiver 750’ street-fighter motorcycle in the country and has showcased the same at the 2015 India Bike Week (IBW).

Set to compete against the Kawasaki Z800, Triumph Street Triple and the upcoming Yamaha MT-09, the Aprilia Shiver 750 ABS is powered by a 749.9cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, V-Twin engine that belts out 95 BHP of power and 80.9 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike rides on a Trellis frame while suspensions duties are performed by USD forks at the front and a monoshock set-up at the rear. Stopping power comes from dual front and rear disc brakes along with ABS that is offered as standard.

The motorcycle also gets three riding modes on offer namely Sport, Touring and Rain. Considering the love for super-nakeds that India has, the Aprilia Shiver 750 ABS will surely find a lot of takers, given the fact that people know about the bike in the first place. Aprilia has certainly showcased the bike to the right audience at IBW that will help spread out the word more effectively. To be brought in as a CBU, the Shiver 750 will command a price tag of around Rs. 8 lakhs (ex-showroom) in the country.
