Mahindra has launched the Blue Sense App for XUV500 owners in the iOS platform, while the all-new Scorpio gets the application for the Windows and Android platform.

2014 Mahindra XUV500 Road Test
The Mahindra XUV500 is due for a facelift very soon

The Mahindra Scorpio, which is the reigning king of SUVs in terms of sales and its elder brother, XUV500 which is also doing quite well are both set to get an update. Well, the update is not in terms of change in the exteriors or interior department at the moment, but Mahindra is rather keeping touch with recent technology updates and has launched a Blue Sense App, which is compatible with both the above mentioned SUVs. In this current era of social media, Mahindra seems to have taken the first step amongst the different manufacturers who sell their SUVs in the same segment.

The Blue Sense App is not new though, the Android based application was made available some time back for the top most variant of the Mahindra XUV500. But the new update now makes the application available for the iOS platform for XUV500 owners. The application has also been introduced for Windows, alongside the Android platform as well for the new generation Scorpio too. The new Scorpio does not get the application for the iOS platform though and the iOS version for XUV500 owners can be downloaded from the Apple App store directly.

One has to just pair their smartphone to the car’s infotainment system using Bluetooth technology and can then control features related to the infotainment and climate control systems using their smartphone itself. Important vehicle information such as door open notification, tyre pressure, fuel statistics, service reminders, distance to empty details and so on, can be seen through the owner’s smartphone at any time. The Blue Sense App is designed by Mahindra’s Electronics team, keeping with their company philosophy to be at the forefront of providing an enriched customer experience in the product and technology domains.
