The next generation Renault Duster (Dacia Duster in Europe) is due for launch by mid-2017 and now more information on the upcoming model has surfaced online along with these new renderings that give a glimpse of what is being called as the ‘Duster II’. While we already know that the next generation Duster will be growing in dimensions, reports state that the model will get 15 cms longer than the outgoing version, taking its entire length to around 4.5-metres and that will make way for the third row of seats.

Apart from the additional length, the 2017 Renault Duster will also move up in terms of pricing to justify the additional space while also creating better differentiation between the compact SUV and the smaller sub 4-metre crossover that is currently being developed by Renault. The rendering here showcases the Duster II with modern styling taken from the Oroch crossover concept showcased at the Sao Paulo Auto Show last year coupled with the existing design language that lends a premium new look to the SUV.

The next generation Renault Duster is also expected to get a major overhaul inside the cabin with a bit more premium appearance and equipment on offer with a host of features. In terms of powertrain, the existing engine options will be carried over on the new model while the newly showcased 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine will also be offered as standard. The new generation Renault Duster can be expected to hit Indian shores by 2018, priced upwards of Rs. 15 lakhs.
