Expanding its lineup in the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) space, Tata Motors has launched the new SuperAce Mint small pick-up in the country with prices starting at Rs. 5.09 lakhs (ex-showroom, Thane). Targeted at small business owners and entrepreneurs, Tata says the SuperAce Mint offers a combination of performance, ruggedness, comfort, superior ride and handling, style and best-in-class cost of ownership, meeting the requirements of intra and intercity transport.

Powering the Tata SuperAce Mint is the 1.4-litre DiCOR common-rail, BS-4 compliant diesel engine that produces 70 PS of power and delivers a flat torque between 1800-3000 RPM. Stopping power comes from 254 mm front disc brakes and drum brakes at the rear. The LCV also comes with an independent suspension set-up that can take up the load while also providing the driver with a pliant ride quality. Tata says that the LCV comes with a class-leading top speed of 125 km/hr that promises faster turnaround time.

The Tata SuperAce Mint shares its design traits with other models in the Ace lineup but gets body coloured bumper and standard fitment of wheel caps for a stylish look. Inside the cabin, you get adjustable driver and co-driver fabric seats with headrests and air-conditioning offered as standard. The company is offering the LCV in four colours namely Blazing Red, Castle Grey, Arctic White and Meteor Silver.

In terms of safety, the Tata SuperAce Mint comes with 3-point retractable seatbelts and side impact beams for protection in case of a collision. Fuel efficiency has been rated at 17.9 km/l as per agency tests. Tata’s service network is the widest across the country and customers have the option to choose from 1600 service points and a workshop at every 62 kms. The automaker is providing an assured warranty of one year or 50,000 kms (whichever is earlier).
