The 2016 TVS Apache will be retaining several elements from the Draken concept that will help give a sharp look over the outgoing model.

2016 TVS Apache Test Mule
The alloy wheel design, front mudguard & petal disc brakes come from the Draken concept

TVS Motor Company has a slew of performance products planned for launch later this year starting with the highly awaited next generation Apache as well as the first offering from its collaboration with BMW Motorrad the ‘K03’. The 2016 Apache is expected to be a giant leap over the outgoing version and now shedding light on the same is a new spy shot that was recently caught testing on the NH-5, revealing new details on the Draken concept inspired bike.

Set to be launched in the next couple of months, the next generation TVS Apache test mule gets the same curved shaped 5-spoke alloy wheels as the Draken concept, front mudguard design and petal shaped disc brakes at the front and rear. The bike gets sharp looking turn indicators while an LED tail light will also be present. The rear view mirrors seen on the spy shot came from the outgoing Apache which could be only for the test mule. The bike also gets split seats, similar to the concept version.

In terms of power, the 2016 TVS Apache will draw power from a 200cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is likely to churn out around 28 BHP and 20 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. TVS will be loading its upcoming flagship offering with a host of features including fat forks, monoshock suspension and a digital console that also gets an analog tachometer. Also expect to see an underbelly exhaust on the new Apache while ABS will be offered as optional. TVS will be entering in the big league this year as its newest offering will be locking horns with the Bajaj 200 NS, KTM Duke 200 and the likes in the segment.
