Fiat has just launched the limited edition Linea Elegante in the country for Rs. 9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), featuring visual upgrades to give the vehicle a sporty appeal.

Fiat Linea Elegante Launch
The Linea Elegante has various additions to make it look better on the visual front

Just recently, spy pictures of a special edition Linea sedan were doing rounds on the internet. The same limited edition Linea termed as the Linea Elegante has just been launched by Fiat India today at Rs. 9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Based on the Linea sedan, the limited edition gets a stylish body kit and various changes on the interiors as well to differentiate it from the standard model. It will only be retailed in a white body colour. The model was only expected to be launched in the first week of August, but Fiat has introduced the sedan earlier than expected.

Changes to the exteriors includes a sporty looking body kit that does improve the vehicle’s aesthetics, panoramic black roof, new 16-inch alloy wheels that have been sourced from the Punto Evo, sporty rear spoiler, chrome garnishing on the ORVMs and an Elegante decal on the side. The interior upgrades includes the addition of a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, new seat covers, floor mats with Elegante branding and a flat door sill. According to the company, the limited edition model is targeted towards those who love a sporty yet elegant looking sedan.

Fiat has made no changes on the mechanical domain and the Linea Elegante continues to draw power from the 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel engine that gives out 92 BHP and 209 Nm of torque. The petrol engine on the other hand is the performance centric 1.4-litre T-Jet engine that churns out 112 BHP and 207 Nm of torque and power is sent to the front wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission regardless of the engine type. Though the Linea Elegante looks very appealing, Fiat should have offered these changes as optional extras and not as a limited edition model if at all they want more customers to enter their showrooms.
