The 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R could take design inspiration from the flagship H2R and the same could be further replicated on all Ninja models in the future including the ZX-6R and Ninja 300.

Kawasaki’s supercharged and blisteringly fast H2R has won the love and respect of every biker, even if only a few having the resources to get themselves one. Apart from being a supercharged technological marvel from the house of Japan, the hyperbike also showcased the future of Kawasaki’s products. Now, ensuring that sentiment is in the right direction, a report comes in from the home market suggesting that the next generation Ninja ZX-10R will be taking design cues from the flagship H2R.

The rendering here showcases the next generation Kawasaki ZX-10R complete with the carbon fibre front cowl and twin headlamp design taking cues from the street-legal H2. The LED DRLs are a nice touch to the bike. While we reckon carbon fibre won’t be making it to the production model, the image surely gives a glimpse of the extremely beautiful looks the next ZX-10R will possess. The possibility of the design being used is higher because the automaker already gave us a glimpse of the same with the new Versys models launched earlier this year that shared certain styling traits with the H2R (notice the winglets on the Versys).

All said, it still isn’t clear if Kawasaki will introduce the H2R design language on specifically ZX-10R or across the entire Ninja model range. If the company does choose to opt for the latter, the smaller Ninja ZX-6R and Ninja 300 are sure to find many takers, for their sharp looks alone. Talking about the mechanicals on the next generation Ninja ZX-10R, the track focused bike is likely to get power bumped up from the current 200 PS while there will a tonne of upgrades to the chassis, suspension and electronics to match its new competition.

While the 2016 ZX-10R is expected to be the new benchmark in the segment, Kawasaki is working to transform the H2R into a demigod and is eyeing to hit a top whack of 400 km/hr. As per the same source, Team 38 is working to make the H2R ready to hit the new bar. Kawasaki USA has also tested the bike with speed runs at the Mojave desert earlier this month and will soon reveal the official timings and the top speed achieved.
