Minor changes add value to the Suzuki Hayate

The commuter bike segment has been ruled by Hero MotoCorp since a long time but bikes from other brands in the space also sell in decent numbers. One such bike is the Suzuki Hayate which was launched last year with an aggressive marketing campaign. The bike did manage to grab some sales numbers but didn’t fulfil the company’s target set for it. Hence, Suzuki has refreshed the bike ahead of the festive season to make it a worthy option in the commuter bike space. It gets minor changes which include slight mechanical changes too.

The changes on the Suzuki Hayate include the following –

  • Body coloured side panels
  • New body decals
  • Maintenance-free battery
  • Tubeless tyres
  • 5-step adjustable rear shock absorber

These changes give the Suzuki Hayate a fresher look and make it a smart looking commuter bike. Five colour options on the bike give the customers a varied choice and they can choose the one suiting their personality. The engine on the bike remains the same which is a 112.8cc single-cylinder motor producing 8.3 BHP of power and 8.8 Nm of torque. With comfortable seating position and Suzuki’s service support, the bike should gain some numbers after the minimal changes. The 2015 Suzuki Hayate is priced at Rs. 59,523/- (on-road, Mumbai).
