New Hero Splendor Pro
The Hero Splendor Pro gets only visual changes

Hero MotoCorp has been facing the heat from Honda in the recent months as the Activa has been beating the Splendor in terms of sales. To fight back, the company has updated the Splendor range of bikes with the Splendor Pro getting a comprehensive facelift. It gets multiple design changes to make it look fresher but continues with the same old mechanicals. The performance and efficiency figures remain the same.

In terms of design, the Splendor Pro gets the following changes –

  • New windshield design
  • New headlamp design and clear lens indicators
  • Tri-set instrument console with side stand indicator
  • Chrome cover for the utility box and muffler
  • Body coloured rear view mirrors
  • Wider seat with a new grab rail

The updated Splendor Pro will be available in eight colours and four variants to give plenty of choice to the customers. As is the case with various Hero products, the bike comes with a 5-year warranty. Not only the Splendor Pro but the other Splendor variants get some updates too in the wake of the festive season and to celebrate the sale of 2.5 crore Splendor bikes in India. The Splendor+ gets a self-start unit while the Splendor iSmart gets two new paint shades.

Along with the updated Splendors, the Maestro Edge also goes on sale which is the first completely in-house designed product from Hero MotoCorp with the engine being developed by them too. It is a promising product with various nifty features and a value for money price tag. With these updates, Hero should be able to regain lost sales and continue being the market leader in the 2-wheeler segment.
