Harley-Davidson is becoming more and more popular in the Indian market with the launch of the most affordable Street 750, which now starts from Rs. 4.52 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) under the latest price hike for 2016. However, the hike does not affect the Road King which retains its price tag of Rs. 25 lakhs. The price hike ranges from Rs. 1500/- on the Fat Bob and goes up to Rs. 30,000/- on the Forty-Eight. In addition, Harley-Davidson announced that it is planning to expand its reach to smaller cities after its latest expansion in Lucknow and aims to open stores in similar tier-II cities. When asked about the competition from other manufacturers, the company stated that it does not believe in commercial numbers since the brand is purely for leisure biking.

Harley-Davidson has sold around 12,000 units in the last five years in India. The company also stated that the HOG (Harley-Davidson Owners Group) is growing rapidly and they added over 100 members in the last six months. The company further announced that the HOG rally will be organised in February with over 6000 members participating in the same. The manufacturer is organising a similar rally in Lucknow where the owners of Harley bikes will get to interact with each other.
