Peugeot showcased the three wheeled Metropolis RS, the fourth-generation of Speedfight and the retro looking DJango at the 2016 Auto Expo.

Mahindra Two-Wheelers bought 51 percent shares in Peugeot scooters last year and completed the acquisition. The Indian manufacturer showcased three scooters from the French automaker namely the Metropolis RS, Speedfight 4 and DJango at the 2016 Auto Expo and it will now plan the launches according to the response they got.

Peugeot Metropolis

The Peugeot Metropolis RS, if launched will be a very unique product on Indian roads due to the three-wheeled body style. It is powered by a 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces 32.75 PS. The most unique feature in the Metropolis RS is the front axle that has dual tilt locking wheels while both the front wheels have 200 mm discs and the rear wheel has a 240 mm disc.

Peugeot Speedfight

The Mahindra stand showcased the fourth-generation of the Peugeot Speedfight that is powered by a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled and fuel-injected engine that produces 10 PS which is good enough when compared to the light weight of the scooter which is just 130 kgs. The scooter comes with features such as dual disc brakes with combi braking, digital instrument console and projector headlamps.

Peugeot DJango

The Peugeot DJango is a very good looking scooter with retro styling cues and it is powered by a 124.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 10.19 PS. The stylish scooter is offered with a host of accessories and weighs 140 kgs. It is equipped with a 200 mm disc brake on the front wheel and the rear wheel has a 190 mm disc.

Mahindra also showcased a very interesting GenZe 2.0 electric scooter developed in collaboration with AT&T laboratories. It is the world’s first connected scooter that comes with telematic devices that can exchange data and give out information about the scooter’s functioning.
