Mahindra has been working on the facelifted Scorpio for some time now and we now have news that the SUV will be launched this 14th November. The automaker has already started dispatching the new cars to the dealerships and here we have images of the SUV without any camouflage.

As it is with facelifts, changes are more concentrated towards the face. The 2018 Mahindra Scorpio Facelift now gets a new 7-slat chrome grille (like the one on the Imperio), redesigned fog lamps housing and bumper. The side profile is identical to the previous car except for the new alloy wheels that get a subtle design tweak. The huge black cladding in the tailgate has been discontinued in the facelift and you now get a clean-looking and redesigned tailgate.

Though we don’t have an image of the dashboard here, we could expect Mahindra to give the cabin mild revisions. The 7.0-inch infotainment system is likely to make it to the facelifted Scorpio considering that it is now offered even in cars like the KUV100 NXT and TUV300 which are cheaper than the Scorpio.

However, the biggest change is to the engine. The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel will now produce 140 HP of power (a bump of 20 HP from the previous car) and 330 Nm of torque. The oil-burner will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox initially and an automatic is expected to join sometime later.

Expect the facelifted Scorpio to come with new body colours and an additional S7 variant. The current selling Scorpio is priced between Rs. 9.8 – 14.88 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The facelifted car could see a price hike of around Rs. 30,000-40,000 across the range.
