Bajaj Auto is developing a new scooter in a joint venture with a Chinese company. However the new scooter is atleast two years away from launch. Knowing Bajaj and their punctuality we doubt the scooter will be launched on time. Bajaj view Activa as the most successful scooter in the Indian market and will postion the scooter against the Honda Activa. Bajaj has started making bikes from its facility in China. The first shipment of 1,000 bikes made in China have been shipped to Nigeria through India.

The news that mahindra has taken over kinetic is buzzing all around, they are coming up with these power scooters, all these other scooters like scooty pepp, nova, aviator looks very feminine, these scooters are much more powerful and mature in looks,
A very bold step by mahindra

Bajaj should not hav discontinued its Chetak. Infact it should hav modiied it to face the challenges of LML Vespa at that time. It is now difficult to regain the lost market

Bajaj Legend 4 stroke was one of the finest scooters ever made, infact I am one of the proud owners of Bajaj legend that gives a mileage of 62 kmpl under IDC, I love the stability, Torque and reliability of the scooter, when my father bought the scooter in 2010, it costed around RS36,000. I recently got the engine Overhauled at a cost of 6,000 with new Block piston set and connecting rod, The engine is so smooth that it is hard to detect if it is running when idle, The long wheelbase and upright riding posture is very practical and good for long distance riding, The stell body coupled with anti dive suspension is very rugged and smooth, I hope Bajaj will relaunch one more classic scooter based on a new platform and with the looks of Lambretta/Vijay super
