The most sought after news by enthusiasts nowadays is about the upgraded Pulsars which are to be launched anytime soon. With the Pulsar 220 DTS-FI Upgrade a bit delayed, Bajaj has finally taken a step closer to the launch. At its probiking showroom in Pune, Bajaj is displaying three different types of Pulsar 200’s to gauge public response.
The first Pulsar 200 has clipons and rear disc brake, while the second has front faring like the P220 without disc brakes and the third has fairing and rear disc brake. All the three Pulsars have forks from the Pulsar 220. Bajaj has also increased the power of the 200cc engine to 19PS. The Pulsar 180 has been given the looks of the current Pulsar 200.
[important] While the news all of you are most waiting for, the upgraded Pulsar 220 is said to get more power.[/important]
[tip] Probiking salesmen still maintain the new Pulsar 200 to get FI.[/tip]
There is no clear date on the launch yet. Bajaj hasn’t given any intimation to its dealers and the launch can take upto 2 months.

March 7th, 2010 at 11:31 pm
Shrey, Yamaha and Honda bikes have no vibrations after even 50,000 kms.
March 7th, 2010 at 11:33 pm
Rohith, there is no official confirmation from Yamaha, but I have heard from internal sources that a 200cc Fazer is in the making. However don’t expect it come below Rs. 1 lakhs.
March 8th, 2010 at 4:40 pm
@Fas, my senior has 8 months old Yamaha R15 and he is suffering from harsh vibrations .. Also FZ16 have traces of “vibrations” even after 5000 km run. So don’t say a bike can have no vibration apto 50k km….(Coz then it has to be a superbike, practically impossible) !
@ROhith, i said na u go and buy Fazer.. coz u don’t want to knw wats good abt bikes, u just want us to appreciate ur choice of buying Fazer, and shall only mention the good points associated with it…. So go on…..Heyy dude nthng personal, wat else can we say to you?? I even showed u a link which was awarded the prize of best review about a bike, by the likes of Bike Advice, SO there’s nothing more we can do… buy watever u want !
March 8th, 2010 at 5:57 pm
hi fas check wat ajay is saying hz saying yamaha aslo has vibrations after 5000kms u said yamaha and honda doesnt have vibrations
March 8th, 2010 at 6:00 pm
hey ajay y r u saying like dat yar go and buy wat u want??it was ma first bike so i was very careful of choosing best bike dats y i was asking all suggestions for u,shery and fas
March 8th, 2010 at 6:06 pm
ajay wen r u gng 2 pulsar dude??
March 8th, 2010 at 6:22 pm
@ Ajay….this is a tip to self start the engine and leave it for 10-15 seconds so that the oil gets heated up and the luke warn low density oil finds it easy to circulate through upto the top of the engine. Do not leave the choke for too long as it would flood the engine with fuel…..
Do not open the throttle until it has run for atleast 5 km distance and the engine comes to a normal operating heat range…
i did not undstand the lines “”Do not open the throttle until it has run for atleast 5 km distance and the engine comes to a normal operating heat range…”"” can utel wats the throttle
March 8th, 2010 at 6:24 pm
i know throttle means the accelerator is he saying not to raise it for speed aa??
March 8th, 2010 at 8:22 pm
@fas,
hello mr.Fas if u read my post properly, i have clearly mentioned that engine problems or vibrations occur only if gears are not shifted properly.. i have no offense at all to yamaha or honda.. both companies have given brilliant performances.. everything depends on maintenance and other factors.. please review my posting.. there is no offence at all to any bike companies.. i have commented in general..
March 8th, 2010 at 8:32 pm
guys..please note.. the interesting part of so called “VIBRATIONS” is going on hot.. Ajay i agree with the vibrations in R15.. when i thought of buying a bike,R15 was an option.. i drove many R15.. Mr.FAS, vibrations dnt occur after 50,000 kms?? hmmmm.. nice one… i cant get a whole bunch of guys suing yamaha for it.. and plz.. honda is far from commenting… i do appreciate individual interests for their bikes.. but i always appreciate the best..
March 9th, 2010 at 5:24 pm
fas,ajay and shrey canu guys tel me dat above tip ”Do not open the throttle until it has run for atleast 5 km distance and the engine comes to a normal operating heat range…””” can utel wats the throttle”"”
March 9th, 2010 at 11:05 pm
Ajay, agreed but the vibrations in Yamaha bikes are still not that obvious like in Bajaj Pulsars.
March 9th, 2010 at 11:07 pm
Shrey, I don’t own a Honda nor a Yamaha but the vibrations in these companies bikes are far lesser. And your free to argue, there is no offense at all
March 9th, 2010 at 11:09 pm
Rothih, basically it means don’t accelerate hard till the bikes engine warms up.
March 10th, 2010 at 9:12 am
throttle is not an issue at all rohith.. just keep the engine idle during the first start of the day for around 1-2 minutes.. and throttle.. no problem whatsoever
@FAS,
hello fas.. i appreciate your attitude of commenting on one’s wish
i personally own a pulsar 180 UG. i have not faced any vibrations. it all goes by maintenance and riding factors.. right shifts and good servicing does not leave u with any vibrations..
March 10th, 2010 at 9:14 am
@FAS,
hey this is my first question here.. i want to ask u that can we have pulsar 200 or 220’s bumper for 180?? whats the difference?? it looks good though and too manly.. i like it very much.. i dont know whether it alters any performance..
March 10th, 2010 at 7:23 pm
fas rocks
shrey also rocks
March 10th, 2010 at 11:53 pm
Shrey, you are lucky that your bike has no problem. And I completely agree with you, good maintenance and care goes a long way in ensuring a vibe free engine.
The bumper wont alter any performance but it wont fit that easily as both bikes have different chassis. You can try it though.
March 11th, 2010 at 9:13 am
@FAS,
ya.. i thought the same.. but as per one of my friend who has a 200c pulsar, he says the bumper of 200 and 220 has a special coating of extra carbon filter inside.. and thats why its more heavy and bulky..
March 11th, 2010 at 1:21 pm
Shrey, I would suggest you opt for performance upgrades rather then cosmetic mods.
March 11th, 2010 at 7:52 pm
well, so please suggest some performance upgrades please..
March 12th, 2010 at 12:20 am
Shrey, a KnN filter and a free flow exhaust to start with.
March 13th, 2010 at 12:18 pm
well ya.. but where can i find these stuff?? and how much may it cost upto?? how will it change the performance of the bike??
