The most sought after news by enthusiasts nowadays is about the upgraded Pulsars which are to be launched anytime soon. With the Pulsar 220 DTS-FI Upgrade a bit delayed, Bajaj has finally taken a step closer to the launch. At its probiking showroom in Pune, Bajaj is displaying three different types of Pulsar 200′s to gauge public response.
The first Pulsar 200 has clipons and rear disc brake, while the second has front faring like the P220 without disc brakes and the third has fairing and rear disc brake. All the three Pulsars have forks from the Pulsar 220. Bajaj has also increased the power of the 200cc engine to 19PS. The Pulsar 180 has been given the looks of the current Pulsar 200.
[important] While the news all of you are most waiting for, the upgraded Pulsar 220 is said to get more power.[/important]
[tip] Probiking salesmen still maintain the new Pulsar 200 to get FI.[/tip]
There is no clear date on the launch yet. Bajaj hasn’t given any intimation to its dealers and the launch can take upto 2 months.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180 sites under construction. Looks like launch of the new Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180 will be soon.

ya.. i thought the same.. but as per one of my friend who has a 200c pulsar, he says the bumper of 200 and 220 has a special coating of extra carbon filter inside.. and thats why its more heavy and bulky..
Shrey, I would suggest you opt for performance upgrades rather then cosmetic mods.

iam having passion plus of 2005 model and i went top speed of my bike to 90kmph before it use to go upto 80kmph now it was going 90kmph …
i wonder 110cc goes upto 90 speed then y cant 150cc pulsars go up to 130 or so but top speed of 150cc is only 120(you tube)video

Well rohith our priorities and views are different. Firstly i dont buy a bike for its resale value. secondly i chose pulsar because the parts are available anywhere for a lesser price. And also, the servicing is always good. in generations my grandfather,my father, my brother,my cousins have been buying bajaj automobiles.. and the service is fair. also my bike gives me a mileage of 45 good pickup, looks.
Now about CBZ, there are some problems like ground to height ratio, service, spares and maintenance.. i cannot afford it.. well this is my view. Yes there is a resale value for it. I always wanted and liked the old model of CBZ. Consider ur needs, priorites.. go test drive urself all the bikes and go for it.. just satisfy ur needs urself..
Hey guys I have made 40K kms in FZ 16 now it runs almost like without any engine itself, it has become so smooth to ride now, It had vibrations till 2k kms run and finally after 2nd service vibrations disappeared, I usually go for long rides of abt 400 kms twice in a month as my home town is far away.
Its the best reliable bike and beats pulsar in every aspect. !!!!

hello keerthan.. i agree FZ is a good bike.. well u cant say that FZ beats pulsar, i can easily say that pulsar has more raw power than FZ ten hands up.. and coming to long drives and vibrations.. my bike does not have any vibrations at all..(before 2nd service also for ur info).

I would like to buy UG 4.5 150 Pulsar by next week.75% people’s opinion is goes to Unicorn.But Pulasr UG 4.5 is very smooth than early versions while the test drive and also very good looking. Please suggest Pulsar will last and more good if i’m take care well than Unicorn ? What about engine and electronic parts?

Well ur very rite. the ug 4.5 version has been updated very well by bajaj.The gear transmission is very smooth. I suggest u go for it.
As for now, Unicorn is also a good bike. But i’m afraid they say the maintenance is very costly and high. so i suggest u take that into consideration as well..

i have finished my exams and now i have 2 decide of taking a bike
1st i went to Yamaha showroom..
there were three fzs(black,orange,yellow and black) and costs 80k on road.. there were no fazers i have asked about he said to book it and it will come and costs 86k on road..he showed me the bike which came for servicing the front dome was made of plastic or cheap material as u said i left the showroom disappointed and took fazer off my mind..
2nd i went to herohonda showroom of taking cbz xtreme there is not even a single bike they also said to book and it will come in 10 days ..
3rd i went to bajaj showroom i saw no p150’s ..
there was a p220 in red color..and four p180’s
red,blue,black and silver..
the showroom guy and my dad asked me to take p180 in blue color but i liked black..and showroom guy also said there is also good resale after herohonda..
wen i asked him about cbz(which was in my mind and second p180)
he said to me no problem if u dont take my pulsar but u ride the cbz and then ride pulsar u check out which has comfort in riding..after all i recommend u unicorn instead of cbz he said

wow wow wow.. good job rohith.. i did the same before going for the bike.. The guy in showroom was right. I agree hero honda has comfort level and bla bla blah… I had already told u that the head chamber of fazer has a cheap material..
I can assure of one thing to u dude.. i have ride hundreds of bikes.. Unicorn’s maintenance is too expensive and hard.. Further my cousin had a unicorn but he sold it after 3 months..and u know the reason??
Its because of the faulty tyres that they give u, it causes lot of punctures.. and one more thing.. the smoothness does not stay long.. try going for a long drive in the city limits.. by the time u reach home the mono-cross suspension would have eaten ur back..
Last but not the least not that i defend my bike,.. i say pulsar is sound and nice if maintained well.. ( u may not like it because ur looking for “RESALE VALUE”)

pulsar 150 definitely gives 50-55 around the city and 180 gives u 40-50. if u go for highways, the mileage increases significantly :)
UG series has special suspensions, nice gear shift ratios and better throttle performance..
One thing, ride it to believe it :) !!

i was impressed for p180 after cbz…but i heard p180 is hard to maintain and also gear prblems is it improoved in ug4 plz say

The gear problems have been solved. The so called gear problem was just that the neutral could be got easily only when the bike is off or stopped. it has been solved now UG.
It is not all hard to maintain pulsar..
hey every class owns pulsar yaar, right from poor, middle and rich class own it.
the spares also cost less.

does 180 have any starting prbelms bcoz kick is removed d they said dat they r using same battery as for 220 so der wnt b prbelms….
if we ride for 1st 1000kms below 50 and for next 2000kms below 60 wil d mileage of 180 improove really

The mileage depends dude.. it depends on how u ride, where u ride. Ans as far is kick start i had told u that its not at all a problem. The battery is stronger and its DTS-i which means twin spark ignition. So there are 2 spark plugs and the torque generated by this engine is very high. So there is no problem of the battery going down at all..
Just drive safely and good. Remember to give the bike for service at thr right time as suggested.

@Suman, If you have booked your CBZ go for it, there is no point asking which is better now, as it would only bring doubt in your mind if others preach about some other bike !! Rest other experienced guys’ comments needed !! :)
