Bajaj plans to upgrade the Pulsar 220 cosmetically by giving it the black theme. The Pulsar 180 & 200 already have the black theme and we wonder why Bajaj launched the Pulsar 220 without black wheels. Actually we know why Bajaj did not launch the Pulsar 220 with black wheels, simply because they would want to do this later. I think Bajaj is feeling the heat from Yamaha.
The Black themed Pulsar 220 should be launched along with the upgraded Pulsar 200. Bajaj plans to launch the Pulsar 200 with FI which would give the Pulsar 200 a competitive edge against the Yamaha FZ16.
Update – 20/04/2009
According to a senior representative of Bajaj Auto, the company will continue to refine and evolve its home-grown sportsbike – the Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi. He added that there will be certain styling changes, engine tweaks, perhaps monoshock rear suspension, better brakes and revamped instrumentation.

All we have been doin (thats raj,das n me) ,is talkin about our bikes and speculating when it’ll be given to us..welcome to d gang.. reason fr the delay is that bajaj did not get the TC approval from RTO for the p220 dtsi.. whereas in all other states its been done..by the way which colour did u book?

BREAKING NEWS JUST CALLED KANJURMARG PROBIKING MUMBAI THEY SAID THE TC APPROVAL HAS COME HURRAY, YES REALLY THE WAIT IS OVER, DELIVERIES WILL BEGIN FROM MODAY ENJOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. THEY GOT THE APPROVAL JUST FEW MINUTES AGO.

The RTO approval is for the whole state Maharashtra, so no matter if you stay in Pune or Mumbai.

Today I got a call from the Nasik Probiking in the evening, the guy said that you can take your bike on Monday after you pay the full amount. All the procedures have been done. On Monday I will get my life’s best birthday gift a sizzling red PULSAR 220.

Thanxx fas when are you going to buy this bike ?? Leonardo I did not remove the mainstand as I am not facing any problems regarding it. The bike awesome to ride. Did not cross 58kmph till now. Whenever I go out for a ride many guys keep on looking me. I am getting a hell lot of attention from every body. Thanxx to the sporty looks of the 220. I CAN SAY NOW THAT ” I AM THE FASTEST INDIAN “

Ya buddy enjoying my ride every day. The pick of the Pulsar 220 is very fast upto 55-60 kmph. It has a diiferent sound from the other bikes. My Pulsar 220 has not faced any starting problems in the morninigs. Just push the button and the bike starts in 2-3 seconds. Fantastic bike to have.

Please let me know the actual milage you are getting from your Pulsar 220. Hey and how about the rear break..?? I found it not that great, its not even effective than a Drum breaks. I talked to the probiking guy, but he told that purposely they have made that loose so that bike should not skid..
How do you feel guys…???

ya i did call them yday too…they said sm have bin delivered on wednesday n the rest on sat or latest by monday…y r they delayin nw..?? no idea..i ws pretty harsh on them n told them to get it asap or else ill go to consumer court.. :D

Sanjeev I dont know the actual average of the bike, just rode 110 kms till now, the rear disk brakes are OK like normal ones not a big issue. The bike is superb to ride, great pick up, no starting problems, most powerful headlight glows the road like the Sun does in the morning. Das and Leonardo you don’t know what are you missing guys, just go and take your deliveries as soon as possible.
