People who moaned the death of the Bajaj Pulsar 200 can finally rejoice. Bajaj Auto is planning to launch yet another variant of the Pulsar, the Pulsar 220 S by end of this month. The current Pulsar 220 carries a F sticker on the tank and contrary to popular belief the F stands for fairing and not the four letter word you naughty minds keep coming up with. Similar the S in the upcoming Pulsar 220 stands for street. The bike will resemble the Pulsar 200 along with the engine and features of the Pulsar 220. Bajaj had earlier showcased the Pulsar 220 S at Pune probiking outlets (video of which can be seen here). The Pulsar S will cost Rs. 73,000/- which is Rs. 3,000 less than the F version.

i feel its a gud move to relaunch the pulsar 200 with an upgraded version but i feel the 220 dtsfi shud hav been der and making it without the exclusive fi was not a gr88 move..they should hav added some more killer features in it..made 220 bigger and bettr so tat it maintained an iconic status.now bajaj has no bike which can be seen in the elite group except ninja, which not a bajaj product.

GREAT Move planned ahead by BAJAJ and as I had stated by the time of launch of ‘FASTEST INDIAN Pulsar 220 DTS-i F’ as part of P200 upgrade..!!
Only Fi is been purposely skipped to give the marginally-affordable price tag[73-74K ON ROAD-Pune] as compare to current P220 F price tag targeted in between P180 and P220…!!
Other reason might be n number of FRESH new launches are on road map planned ahead starting from BAJAJ-KTM 125 Fi-4 valve mono shock- as I commented in P135 LS launch details..!!!
In my opinion It wouldn’t be 4 valve engine.[if gone launch @Jan2010 ending]…n only additional option available to buye/customer who willing to buy power-performance-biggies-Goodies at affordable rate.
WE all can say FASTEST SEXY INDIAN is BACK in new ‘OLDer look P200′ with some extra goodies of clip on,wider forks,Rear disk brakes,New 3d stickers,21PS,new Engine guard etc.. in the FORM of 2010 New P220 DTS-i S”i.e. MOST POPULAR Bike/most SALABLE bike of BAJAJ history…!!!!
Later on it(this launch) could be reflected in current P180 2009 after completing 1 year with some other specs as 4 valve engine,mono shock,Fi with some differ Headlight design..!!!
This is what PEOPLE were expecting long time back n would LOVE to see ….on OLD P200 cherish upgrade…going to take birth from BAJAJ’s stable…!!
This would RELALY ROCK only if HEADklight design is changed in some innovative way..!!! But agian we never know whether BAJAJ might introduce this in new P200/P300 launch….!!!
I hope BAJAJ also knowws this very well as part of their Distinctly Ahead strategy..!!!

Dont ever try to compare with frazer.
Pulsar cant beat frazer, no matter price is high, but its got the most sexiest look in indian bikes.

he faired Pulsar 220 rides on softer compound MRF Nylogrip tyres …..Owing to the workers strike at the MRF plant production of tyres had completely stopped.
So wouldn’t that mean the P220F also comes with Eurogrip tyres , or did they find just enough MRFs for the F version ?
