Bajaj Auto has launched the new Pulsar 135LS bike. The Pulsar 135LS is powered by a 4-valve DTS-i mill delivering 13.5PS of power. The bike boasts of sporty split-seat, aluminum clip-on handlebars, and a host of other features along with performance comparable to other 150cc bikes. The light kerb weight of only 122 kg gives it a great Power-to-weight ratio of 110.6 Ps/tonne to make it optimum balance of agility and comfort. The all new Pulsar 135 LS (Light Sport), the first of its kind in India, is designed to add a whole new dimension to the motorcycle market by creating a new Light Sports segment. The bike is priced at Rs. 51,000/- (ex showroom, Delhi).

Equipped with a light-weight yet rigid frame, aided by gas-charged Nitrox shock absorbers at the rear, the Pulsar 135LS delivers class-leading top-end power, due to its 2-inlet and 2-outlet valves and ample pulling power in the low and mid-range. This is possible due to the light-weight character of the four smaller valves (as opposed to two heavier valves), which allow the engine to effortlessly rev to 10,500 RPM (electronically limited). And since safety is paramount on any Pulsar, DC lighting and a 240mm disc brake up front comes as standard. The bike will be manufactured from the Chakan Plant and will have a capacity of 35000 bikes per month.

About superior 4 -valve DTS-i engine in Pulsar 135LS : -

A 4-Valve engine is designed for better performance than regular a 2-Valve engine. Combined with the revolutionary DTS-i (Digital Twin Spark-ignition) technology which maximizes combustion to deliver enhanced power and superior mileage with low emissions, the Pulsar 135 LS has one of the most efficient production engines ever.

  • More power: The 4 valve provides for a greater intake and exhaust area resulting in more power, almost equivalent a 2 valve 150cc engine.
  • Sustained top end power: The light-weight character of the four smaller valves (as opposed to two heavier valves), which allow the engine to effortlessly rev to an eye-popping 10,500 rpm (electronically limited)!
  • Sporty ride: Given the wider rpm band, the engine can be revved hard and high in each gear resulting in a genuine sporty ride.
  • More Mileage: Established superiority of DTS-i blended with 4 valve not only enhances the performance but also returns a very good fuel economy (68.1 km/l certified by ARAI)
  • More green: Comfortably meets BSIII regulations.

    This bike is really Pathetic…
Just like fusion of some bikes like Pulsar ,Discover & Xcd.
Front & rear lights are copied by Xcd 135.
Engine will be as same as discover & pulsar as well.
Split seats by Pulsar 200,220 & new 180 as well.
Tank similar to Pulsar but bit small.
Not look like pregnant that in Pulsar.
Earlier bajaj was planning to launch by the name of Xcd .
But due to the Goodwill & brand name of Pulasar, launched by the name of Pulsar 135.
Rear Mudguard is also another new feature for this bike .

It’s Amazing..!!! NEW 135 4 valve technology with DTS-i Engine seems to be one more Milestone set by BAJAJ in its Plate….!!!
The overall Power & mileage capacity matches to any 150 cc category and to it’s own rival Pulsar itself..

The more interesting part I tell you the goodies it offers as LS-Light Sport bike..
New Tank design with attractive scopes,Sexy clip On Handel bars i.e.clone from P180/P220,split seats, new tail light-head light, more power and off course the new light weight feature of the bike.

A Complete Attractive Package that gone beat any 125 n 150 cc bike …and it’s own rivals off course….!!!!!

Now WE might see in future the new launches that come up with all new DTS-i 4 valve Engines per cylinder (with Fi or without Fi).
Especially the new P150,P180,P200,P220,P250 with mono shock and most seen BAJAJ-KTM’s ROCKING SURPRISE PACKAGE-KTM125 “Stunt n Race” would come in way now, within 2-3 months from this Pulsar 135LS launch.

Adding one more thing, I won’t be surprised by seeing that if current pulsar 150 DTS-i UG4 2009 might be replaced with NEW Pulasr 150
DTS-i 4 valve(Later on P135LS COULD be upgraded to P150) with Clip ons and mono shock which is missing currently from this segment, some where in APRIL-May 2010(after completing to P150 1 year launch)….
Thats the way it will differ current most selling P180 UG4-2009…!

    BAJAJ GONE be Rocking in style….NON-sops HITs…Completly UN-STOPPANLE….in near FUTURE… :-)

Agree…Only NON-liking part is rear mudgard..!!!!!This with the entitled Full chain socket covered , are targeted to all the peoples including the middle age n rural India…!!!

That I’m sure would be removed by BAJAJ with the launch of few new versions of P135LS in addition, in near future to catch/eye the YOUNGER generation …mainly the College Students…!!
It may have some more colors, naked half chain cover and some differ headlight design…I guess…!!!!

bajaj !!! bajaj !!! trying to do something new…i am an owner of 220 dts fi… what they do , just in 2 years they lunched a 220 dtsi and told that its the best .. so we were been fooled as they offered us a worst product at much more money , i know dts fi is better then dtsi but there statement to sale that 220 dtsi making all the 220 dts-fi costumer stupid. if they know that 4valve can make the engine more efficient and more power why don’t they did earlier with there bikes…as we all know its not a latest technology. now what they will do, as they are doing all this years , make all the engines with 4 valve , and they will sell there bikes making all there existing costumer look fool..learn something from yamaha … they came with a bang , great small engine , great handling , great style … and making a benchmark. they have only 3 flagship models and they are the best in there segment .

Here we are talking with milestone , technology, gosh its a all school theory to sell bikes . be smart and think smart like VINAY talking above.
