Bajaj Auto has very quietly launched the upgraded Pulsar 150 and upgraded Pulsar 180. The 2009 Edition Pulsar 150 and 180 have so little changes in them, that Bajaj felt shy of making an official announcement. However the dealers confirmed that the bikes have been launched and we will be getting our hands on them soon. Stay tuned.

R pulsars r reliable & durable than Unicorn, Apache, Hunk,…….!!!!:-)???
May 25, 2009 at 4:44 pm
Noufal, Hero Honda, Honda and Yamaha bikes are known to be very reliable. Bajaj doesn’t even come close in reliability.
May 25, 2009 at 10:20 pm
currently i m using Pulsar 180cc digital model but i am not satisfied with the performance of the bike as its gears gets hard when the engine gets heated and because of this it gives a vibration on handle on acceleration end, Petrol Tank, on leg brake handle , mirrors and heavy vibration on seat.
i hope the new pulsar 180 which is launches now doesnt give any complaints otherwise i would recomend you to get a Honda Unicorn, or Hunk or a FZ rather than pulsar 180 and if u have a higher budget it is totally satisfactory to buy a pulsar 200 or 220 and even Honda Karizma
May 25, 2009 at 10:26 pm
Dhaval, you can expect the same from the new Pulsar 180 as there is no mechanical change in the bike, just a little boost in power.
May 26, 2009 at 5:38 pm
Is there any new model of honda bike (150-200cc) or any facelifted model of Unicorn will be ready in garage 4 dis year???
May 26, 2009 at 10:38 pm
Noufal, its is expected that Honda will do something to the Unicorn to keep its sales up and going, some styling changes.
May 27, 2009 at 1:32 pm

May 27, 2009 at 2:39 pm
Noufal, mileage of the FZ is around 40kmpl.
May 27, 2009 at 3:19 pm
Will the upcoming models of Unicorn’ve digital speedometer, led lamps,!!!!:-)???
May 27, 2009 at 3:21 pm
Noufal, I don’t think Honda will give all those features to the Unicorn, but they should since thats the norm in the 150cc segment.
May 30, 2009 at 10:50 am

Shyam, what do you want to know about the Pulsar 150. The new model has the same mechanicals as the old one, but with some cosmetic changes.
June 2, 2009 at 4:20 am
the bajaj bikes only realible for 1 or 2 years after these bikes creat noise. hero honda bikes not creat sound after 5 years
June 3, 2009 at 12:40 pm
I rode two of them…..
Unicorn sounds best n feels as new even after 35,000 km run BUT…
Pulser feels the worst after 20,000 km run…
Coz i have pulser n my frnd has The UNICORN ,I maintained my bike very good but it doesnt feel like smooth as it was on new but my frnd bike is not wel maintained but it still feels like new sounds like new n u cant say its a old bike after lookin at the performance…
for a bike :-
1> Reliability
2>Smoothness
3>Comfort
4>Re-sale value
5>Ride quality
6>Looks
7>Performance Matters
Unicorn scores on
1> Reliability
2>Smoothness
3>Comfort
4>Re-sale value
5>Ride quality
and performance is adequete as required…
Pulser scores on
6>Looks
7>Performance
And having very low on resale value, and low on reliabilty…
DECISSION IS URS………….
VERDICT:- IF U WANT LOOKS DEN GO FOR PULSER IF U WANT ELSE THINGS BEST GO FOR UNI…..
June 3, 2009 at 12:46 pm
Ya Pranab U r 100% right .
An inteligent person will never go for pulser, its a just good bike,
But Unicorn is the best.

June 3, 2009 at 2:17 pm
Static, as a bike the Unicorn is a very good bike. But if your looking for features, looks and value for money the Pulsar is the bike to buy.
June 3, 2009 at 2:58 pm
i want the bike to be good 4 atleast 3 years 4rm now…and i thnk both bikes prices r same???
and i love riding bikes…so wch one shud i opt with out any second tot..
June 3, 2009 at 3:02 pm
Static, for long term I would suggest the Unicorn. If you can stretch then the Suzuki GS150R would be a better bet.
June 5, 2009 at 5:01 pm

June 5, 2009 at 7:32 pm
Anil, if you want power, style and performance get the P180. If you are looking at mileage get the P150.
June 5, 2009 at 11:05 pm
ples help in confusion between pulsar 150 and unicorn…
i like pulsar but 4 long term unicorn is good..dnt knw wat to do..and i am going to purchase the bike in another 10 days..help me!!!
June 6, 2009 at 12:00 am
Head Banging, I would suggest you get a mix of both, reliability and style which you would get in the Yamaha FZ16 and the Suzuki GS150R.
June 6, 2009 at 11:44 am
is Suzuki GS150R is a good competition when compare to pulsar or unicorn…
Is is worth buying???
June 6, 2009 at 1:42 pm
Headbanging, the Suzuki GS150R is totally worth buying. Its a better bike than both the Pulsar and the Unicorn.
June 6, 2009 at 10:05 pm
hi frndz…..
i’m gonna buy a bike tis month,
it should be either PULSAR or UNICORN…
i’m in dilemma to choose the bike, plz suggest me!!!
(money doesn’t matter for me)
(my requirements are stylish,power,mileage).
June 6, 2009 at 10:30 pm
Arun there’s no doubt go for the Pulsar 150.
June 7, 2009 at 8:40 pm
is ter any upgrade version coming 4 unicorn with in a couple of months???
June 7, 2009 at 8:41 pm
Headbanging, can’t really say whether Honda will launch an upgraded Unicorn, but the way the 150cc segment is going, Honda should be upgrading the Unicorn soon.
June 7, 2009 at 8:58 pm
Fas… if u wanted 2 own a bike…out of pulsar,unicorn or GS150R wch one wud u have owned???
June 8, 2009 at 12:37 pm
Headbanging, if its the question of the Pulsar 150, Unicron of the GS150R, I would choose the GS150R anyday. If other Pulsars were also in consideration I would choose the Pulsar 200 or the Pulsar 180 or the Yamaha FZ16. Not confusing you but if you want to get a 150cc bike, then the GS150R is one of the best in the segment.
June 8, 2009 at 7:35 pm
Hey Fas,
I am confused..Planning to get a bike.. And I had finalised on Unicorn. But I happened to see the new Pulsar-180 yesterday and man it looks awesome. So if I have to compare both, which would be better. Are there problems with Pulsar in the long term??? Help me…..
June 8, 2009 at 11:51 pm
Rashy, I would buy the Pulsar 180 over the Unicorn. It does look stunning and the Unicorn looks old and not worth the money infront of the Pulsar. People have reported problems with Pulsars over the long term. However Bajaj parts are relatively cheaper. Its very confusing rashy, so I would suggest the Suzuki GS150R. A mix of both and its a Suzuki.
June 10, 2009 at 4:33 pm
Hi All,
I dont think Pulser parts are cheaper,
Handel racer-300(pllser), 200(unicorn)
Chain spoket- 800(pulser),550(unicorn)
Air filter- 120 (pulser),80(unicorn)
And many more.I can mention if you want more.
And strangly only because of parts are cheaper we will purchase a bike with less reliability,Comfort,Smoothness.I am an Automobile engneer.
I know the pros and cons about all the bikes well as am dealing with it alawyz.
Either can be achived (Style) or (Reliability N Smoothness).YES IF U CAN TAKE YAMAHA FZ16 is a real combi pack.Or wait for CBR-150 Release.
And I dont think New-Unicorn is uncle type lookin.I agree pulser is more stylish but on other areas it goes down.
Yes suzuki is a very good bike, its An Unicorn with added weight.
-It got a smooth engine
-Reliable parts
-Good looks
Its far better than pulser.
Only thing if u wanna change the bike the resale value is very very less. And up to 85 km/hr it goes smooth.Par 85 it starts making sound.
But its one of the good engine. In unicorn(new) up to 95 no vibration is there and Uni has an resale value.
