Garware Motors plans to launch more motorcycles in India as it sees tough competition from Bajaj Auto who recently stole its thunder by launching the Kawasaki Ninja 650R at a more competitive price. The Pune based company is planning to get three machines from the Hyosung stable, which would all have lower capacity then the current Hyosung bikes on sale India. The possible bikes to make it to go on sale would be the Hyosung GT250R and the a 400cc machine. These bikes will be launched in India in 2012 and would be locally assembled at the firm’s facility in Pune.
The Garware Motors assembly plant has an installed capacity of 8-10 bikes a day. This could be expanded as per requirements. The company has invested Rs. 22 crores for this facility and is looking at sourcing components locally. The engine will continue to be brought from abroad. Garware Motors also plans to expand their dealership reach by opening new showrooms in Mahrashtra, Punjab, Hyderabad and Haryana.

This is an exciting news.
Soon we can see low priced Hondas, Kwackers etc.
M&M might shelve Mojo :”(
@ Madhav. i Dont think these companies lower their price as they have brand values on the other hand Hyosung is mostly unheard name in india.People still havent forget the stories of highly priced and non existent spares for comet.May be these are good machines but a person will opt for Honda or Kwacker if there is a difference of 20-30 thousand for the sake of quality, reliability & resale value. just my views. :P
To create any kind of shockwaves, they’ll have to price the 400 on par the N250.
Please open one showroom in Punjab… thanks in advance… :)
Hyosungs are good bikes and the hyosung 250 is considered to be a good and affordable starter learner leagel bike in Australia. It sells for approx. 7000 $$ there. I had ridden one there… If it comes to Punjab with a service center, I will do anything and everything to buy one… I can shed my whole lot of 3 years salary to buy one… cool news…
arreyy yaar kabhi launch karega ye bike… eagerlyy waitin for this bike….
