Hero MotoCorp To Launch 15 Products By March 2014

Hero Leap Side

Honda might have chalked out an aggressive plan to snatch the numero uno spot from its erstwhile partner but Hero MotoCorp wants its products to do the talking. India’s largest 2-wheeler manufacturer plans to launch 15 products by March 2014, which is certain to help them maintain their leadership in the India 2-wheeler market. All these products will see technology from Hero’s own R&D, with contributions coming from its partners. Out of the 15 products, quite a few of them will be launched in 2013 itself as Hero looks at benefiting from increased demand during the festive season.

Hero MotoCorp has gone international and entered quite a few markets, where it feels demand for commuter motorcycles is on the rise. Out of these 15 launches, only a few will be all new products, while most of them will be product refreshes. Hero intends to showcase its technologic capability and has applied for patents as well. The company plans to enter 50 new markets by 2020 and intends to have 20 manufacturing factories around the world. This will help them reach their turnover target of Rs. 60,000 crore.

Hero MotoCorp is working on many new products but the most exciting one is the updated Karizma. Spy shots of the motorcycle have emerged on the interweb and the company has confirmed it will use tech from its American partner, EBR. However the updated Karizma won’t be the first Hero motorcycle to be indigenously developed as the design and underpinnings still come from Honda. The company will launch its first bike developed from grounds up in 2014 which will be priced aggressively to take on competition.

They can launch even 1500 products.. All they have to do is to change stickers and graphics

      Well said…

This time they are serious about there products!! but out of 15 only 4 to 5 models will be new. well even that is better than falling market of Hero in premium segment.

They must have scored high marks on Permutation n Combination Paper… they can even defeat a master Chef.

Come on hero !!! we need a fully refreshed karizma with more power (22-25 bhp), it will possibly be the most comfortable sports bike in india to ride with a pillion rider…………..

wow 15.. and I had thought Bajaj had many line ups for the future.. what’d they have ? 3 new Pulsars & 5 new discovers right ?

Till now hero was in defending market share due to lack of new product. Now it will be in aggressive mode with new product line up. Good to see Indian taking on……every one doubted on capability of withstanding without Honda….but what happened? Hero has already transformed itself from spell brand to Hero brand without losing its leadership & without much drop in market share. Everyone knows Hero is known for commuter segment with passion, splendor which is durable yet highly outdated engine. Nor it has performance or higher fuel efficiency. New engine with new tech tie up significantly going to improve and are always welcome for already established strong brands. Moreover it is now aggressive for Premium bikes as you can see all new 250cc will be arriving Next year. No more it has to beg for tech in front of Honda & Honda is making dream products and by selling some few bikes, and making lots of 100cc flying scooters. Dream yoga & neo yoga are not performing as they were supposed to work as they were pitched against splendor, discover. Twisters are twisted badly and are popped into Hondas ass hole. Just think their total bike volume of Honda for a month is around 1.5L which is less than sales of individual splendor which sells around 1.8L\month. It is dreaming to become No 1 which will be a dream. Bajaj too is working on some product line up, and we hope both these Indian companies will Rule over the World.

Hello mack. Do you realize hero is still using honda engines in all their bikes and scooters? When will hero design new engines and start using them in their bikes? Right now, hero is still dependent on honda technology.
