2012 Honda CB Shine Silver

The 125cc Honda commuter bike, CB Shine has been a very popular one among the Indian motorcycle customers who are inclined towards fulfilling their daily needs using a commuter motorcycle. Honda had recently upgraded the Shine with the CB attached along with the name and some other cosmetic changes. Honda has now announced that it is offering 2 new colours in this model, Monsoon Grey Mettalic and Force Silver Metallic. The Honda CB Shine range starts at Rs. 47,800/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Honda is additionally offering tubeless tires in addition to Tuff-up tube type tires with spoke wheels. Three variants of the CB Shine are now on offer, with the base variant getting spoked wheels, the mid variant getting alloy wheels and the top end variant getting disc brakes. Apart from that, everything else remains the same. The bike continues to be powered by the air-cooled, 4 stroke 125cc engine that produces 10.12 BHP of power at 7500 RPM and 10.54 NM of torque at 5500 RPM. it gets both the options of an electric start and kick start. The engine is mated to a 4 speed gearbox via a manual wet multiplate clutch. The engine complies with Bharat Stage III emission norms.

While these changes are quite minimal, the Honda CB Shine is one of the few Honda bikes which can be bought off the shelf, without encountering any waiting period. The company will soon be launching the Dream Yuga 110cc commuter bike, which will help them increase their market share significantly. Currently the Twister is their only offering in the 110cc space and is not priced very aggressively. The Honda Dream Yuga will take the fight to Hero’s Splendor.

    Dear All,

I am glad that i bought this bike ( Honda CB Shine ) It is quite a good bike to ride in city as well as highway roads. I have tested its speed limit upto 95 Km/Hr and found good comfort or convenience in driving this bike. I am proud to be a owner of this bike. I bought the top end model Honda CB Shine ( Electric Start, Tubeless Tyre, Front Disc Brake ). It costed me Rs. 58,000 onroad at Pondicherry. I took the bike from a new dealer of Honda in pondicherry M/s. Moham Honda. The Service back up and responds are good, when i approached for some clarification in bike operations and facilities.

I recommend others to buy this bike and enjoy quality with HONDA
