Limited Edition CBR Helmet Free With Honda CBR250R Repsol

Honda Mall Promotion

With the festive season going strong for the automobile sector, manufacturers have come up with several schemes and offers to attract buyers. Similarly, Honda is offering a limited edition CBR Repsol helmet free with a purchase of the CBR250R Repsol edition. The special edition helmet is worth Rs. 2449/- that continues the same Repsol orange coloured graphics on it just as the bike. You can also book the CBR250R Repsol online at the official Honda Motorcycle India website, where you will get a unique code to claim the free helmet at any Honda dealership.

Getting a free helmet worth Rs. 2500/- won’t be a big attraction for those shelling out around Rs. 2.2 lakhs for a bike but this move shows Honda’s way of promoting its products by giving freebies. While the CBR250R is a fantastic bike for long journeys, it isn’t selling as much due to the average quality and uninspiring styling. Honda could resolve these issues with the launch of the CBR300R which is a replacement for the CBR250R in many markets. The company is also promoting the CBR250R Repsol edition and CB Trigger aggressively at malls.

We don’t understand the need to promote the Repsol edition of the Honda CBR250R so aggressively considering it’s a limited edition model. Looks like Honda isn’t finding buyers with competition getting stronger in the segment. No longer is the Honda badge enough to sell bikes and the company needs to offer good performance and value to the ever demanding Indian customer.

The Honda CBR250R Repsol edition is the range topping version of the motorcycle that comes at a Rs. 5951/- premium over the standard CBR250R, priced at Rs. 1.92 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The CBR250R is a comfortable machine that features a 249cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve engine, which produces a maximum power of 26 BHP at 8500 RPM and peak torque of 22.9 Nm at 7000 RPM, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Honda CBR250R competes with the likes of KTM Duke 200 and Kawasaki Ninja 300.
