Finally, the Kawasaki Ninja 250R can be yours for just Rs. 2.69 lakhs (Ex-showroom, India). Bajaj Auto have finally launched the much awaited Kwacker but with just 11% import duty on the bike, the pricing seems to be on the higher side. The bike is the European spec one with FI and only 50 units are allotted for the intial batch. So if you find the bike worth the money, rush to your nearby probiking store with Rs. 40,000/- and book it.
The baby Ninja is a CKD procured from Kawasaki’s Thailand operations. It is being assembled at Bajaj’s Chakan plant. The bike is available in two colors namely lime green and ebony black. Kawasaki will be launching higher capacity bikes to take on Suzuki and Yamaha in the superbike segment. Bajaj also announced the arrival of the all new Pulsar in 2011 and launch of KTM bikes at the Auto Expo in January, 2010.

That’s something not expected from BAJAJ at all…I’m talking about the price tag that has been put by BAJAJ on ‘KAWASAKI NINJA 250R’ on the launch in India today..!!
The price seems to be too much high than the India youth ever have expected…!! 2.69 lakhs Ex showroom…!! for this AWESOME package RUN Machine..1
No doubt BAJAJ techis are planning to target initial profit with this extra price tag..!!!
Everybody was expecting Bajaj would put price tag starting from either 1.75 lakhs to 2.00 lakhs Ex showroom so it can be available in the price range around 2.15 On road or might be less than that ..!!
Totally unbelievable…in the current scenario of TATA NANO..which has been strated to expand his presence all over India @ 1.5 lakhs only..!! People’s car..!!
Considering the fact that the recession is started to melt the pain down which was entered 1-1.5 years back to automobile industry ..and in the Indian market,even though this NINJA Price tag seems to be above par level to the minds of Indian youth..
Especially who were planning to buy the NINJAR upto the price tag of 2 lakhs…the lovers of FASTEST INDIAN Pulsar 220…!!..All should have been disappointed after hearing this and must have cancelled the plan of buying it…
The amount of people who were willing/keen to buy this m/c now must have skipped the plan now…(The amount now might be reduced in the range of 10% which was targeted towards 25%..with min Price tag as I talked earlier..
Now Yamaha people must be thinking to launch the new 250 fazer in the range of 1.25 lakhs ASAP….!!!..with this BAJAJ techies won’t left any option to reduce the prices of NINJA to min levels as i mentioned…if this gone happen soon..?? (looks like game plans by BAJAJ over waitcheaters of yamaha people who always wait to let BAJAJ luanch their bikes first n then launch their bikes…!!)
See the difference..from 220—to 250 — only 30 cc..and we have to pay almost 3 lakhs..shocked…

Considering the price at which baby ninja is selling in overseas market, Bajaj has priced it sensibly (also take into account this is the latest FI version of the bike, not the carb one).. add import duty on ckd to that..guess, price is just right. Don’t think Bajaj is going to release 250 cc pulsar, but 220 FI upgrade might get Ninja features.. hope so :)
