Everyone is wondering where the Kawasaki Ninja 250R disappeared from Bajaj’s Pune Probiking outlet. The baby Ninja was there in order for Bajaj officials to judge the amount of space she would require in their showrooms. The bike is being brought in as completely knocked down units and not a CBU as rumoured earlier. The Ninja 250 retains the same specifications as the European/UK version with 33PS of power on tap courtesy the fuel injected motor which is good enough to easily cruise at 160kmph (tested by Bajaj officials at Bajaj’s Chakan track). The engine revvs all the way to 14,000rpm.

The bike has no changes except the new front number plate and exhaust which has the rear cowl painted black and pillion seat coloured green. Thankfully no saree guard. The bike comes with only a side stand and is expected to be priced anywhere between 2.5-3.0 lakhs. Infact Bajaj is making very little profit on the bike. The bike will be available only in green and black colours. Bajaj has trained the mechanics in Japan to service the beast.
