Details about the 2012 Kawasaki ZZR1400, which is called the ZX-14R in the US are out. The new refreshed vehicle gets a slighter bigger engine of 1441 cc which produces about 200 to 210 bhp of raw power. It also features many sought after features like a redesigned fuel injection system, a 3 mode traction control system, redesigned exhaust system, a tweaked chassis, longer swingarm, revised styling, improved ergonomics, a slipper clutch and updated brakes and suspension components.
However, the company claims not made any changes to the bike’s performance. Yet, from the spec sheets, we can fairly conclude that the bike should easily do a speed of around 320 km/h. The bike costs about US$ 15,000 which isn’t really a lot of money considering the package that you are getting.

I atill prefer the latest from BMW,, they use exactly the same engine in their roadbike as their racing bike,,,,,,no mods at all !
rabin yates, using road bikes for race is called Superstock racing. All the bikes use the same road bikes with stickers plus racing tyres, exhaust. The heavily modified road supersports machines are called Superbikes and are heavily modified versions of the road going bikes producing around 235-240bhps. No superbike is similar to road going bikes for ur informations. Huge mods. Especial traction controls, ram intakes everything n they r slightly lighter also.
On the other hand I do not count BMW in front of Kawasaki in bikes. The latter is the oldest Japanese bike manufacturer and the company which introduced fuel injection technology in motorcycles. BMW is just a newbie in supersports machines. Though their effort is good but being European they are overpriced like their cousines Aprilia and Ducati albeit lesser.
In Europe there is no such classification as “superstock “.The bike I refer to is used in Superbike has traction control, is lighter but uses the same power unit for track racing as is fitted to the road going version,,,,,,, nothing added and it still beats all the competition.BMW may be the new kid on the block but is beating all comers including the Japanese bikes ( of which I have 2 ! )
By Superstock I mean the road going supersports motorcycles are raced by just using stickers and Tyres and Exhaust in a race called World Superstock Championship. Superbike may refer to supersports machines for day to day use but Superbike is actually technically heavily modified machines. Please google World Superbike Championship bike specs for that. I have been watching WSBK each and every race. BMW has build the brand in bikes but sales wise it is miniature in front of Japs especially Honda.
Its really amazing… Owsum is the word
