Mahindra has introduced the Kinetic Flyte across all markets in India. The introduction of the Flyte marks the beginning of Mahindra’s two-wheeler foray. The Flyte is a 125cc automatic scooter with features like front fuelling, the largest storage space in its class and four-in-one anti-theft key and telescopic suspension that ensures a smooth ride. This is part of Mahindra’s strategy to foray into the two-wheeler market following the acquisition of the business assets of Kinetic Motor Co in late 2008. Initially, the two-wheeler will be available at the company’s 238 dealerships in tier II and III cities.
“We use the design and engineering services of all our affiliates, including the Italy-based Engines Engineering, in all our product development work to give technologically superior products to our consumers,” Anoop Mathur, Mahindra’s two-wheeler business president said.
Kinetic Flyte is priced at Rs. 43,000/- Mumbai and gives mileage a mileage of 45kmpl. Kinetic Flyte vs Honda Activa is a easy choice. We would pick up the Activa anyday.

I think that the website such as yours is suppose to bring new and exciting new about automobile industry without bias of any sort. I am not sure why would your website mention that you guys would go for Activa anyday. I dont think you should be making judgement of any kind. Just becuase the price (higher) or specification (better for Honda) you shouldnt suggest viewers to write off Flyte.
Thank you.

Jubin, I didn’t say that I would write off flyte, but Honda service is better. Activa is a fantastic machine. People who buy these bikes are very mileage oriented and the Activa gives better mileage than the Flyte. I have no love or bias towards Honda. If you tell me to choose a 150, I would never pick or recommend the Unicorn, because there are better 150cc bikes in the segment like the Suzuki GS150R. Whereas if you want a performance scooter, nothing comes close to the Kinetic Blaze.

Activa gives better mileage simply because it’s 100cc scooter not 125cc. Don’t think you should compare Activa to Kinetic Flyte as they don’t fall in same category. Honda service is better!!! can’t believe it.. they don’t even take feedback.. anyways.. agree that honda products are very refined and reliable.

Vru, people do compare between the two and hence the comparison. Anyways Honda service is top notch. They do take feedback after service in the service center itself. Maybe its something to do with the dealer.

Can you please give a comparision between the New honda activa and the Kinetic Sym or mahindra Flyte? Please give comparisions on technical specs, performance, quality of build, mileage and service. ofcourse the price should also be mentioned for metros. I have to choose between one of them for my wife. Please make it fast.

Rajesh, I can give you a detailed analysis the way you want, but do you need a comparison? The Honda is smoother to drive, has better quality and for the slight premium in price the Honda is worth it. Get the Honda. Which city are you located so I can tell you the price accordingly.

The news that mahindra has taken over kinetic is buzzing all around, they are coming up with these power scooters, all these other scooters like scooty pepp, nova, aviator looks very feminine, these scooters are much more masculine and mature in looks,
A very bold step by mahindra

saying that Activa or Honda scooters are better than Mahindra Flyte is stupidity as an adviser i say that Mahindra provides good services than Honda.Honda takes 6 months to deliver the Activa. Mahindra delivers its scooter at spot of booking.Mahindra provides exchange of of old two wheeler with new scooter where Honda does not provide this facility
i say/all say that Mahindra Flyte is higher than Honda Activa in Milage,Price,Displacement(cc) etc
so i recomend you to buy MAHINDRA FLYTE but not Honda Activa

Sravan, I never said that Honda service is good. I only said the Activa rides smoother and the Honda engine is a gem.

I purchased mahindra flyte in july 2009. Other things ok. But mileage is very poor and shocking. I am very much disappointed with mileage. It is not even 30 kmpl even after 4 services. what shall i do with it now i dont understand
April 4, 2011 at 1:57 pm
flyte is one of the best scooty in all aspect but only aspect of mileage it is worst scooty. i got only 20 kmpl milage. which is very much disappointing. but taking other quality i am ready to bear this mileage.
