The Mahindra Stallio is one such motorcycle, which is been a long time coming and will continue to be a long time coming as Mahindra has postponed the launch of the commuter bike yet again. The Mahindra Stallio was launched in October 2010, only to be withdrawn from the market four months later due to faulty clutch and gear components. The company then planned to re-launch the Stallio at the 2012 Auto Expo but till date there has been no news of the launch. Now the launch has been delayed till October 2012.
While Mahindra can certainly bring the Stallio to the market within a months time, the company chose not to. The 2-wheeler entrant is looking at ironing out all the issues on the Stallio to ensure customer don’t face any problem and the Stallio performs well against the extremely heated competition from Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto and Honda. The Stallio is a 110 cc commuter bike, which produces 7.3 BHP of power and 8 Nm of torque. It was priced at Rs. 41,199/- (ex-showroom, Mumbai), when it was launched 18 months ago. The engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox.
Mahindra will not have it easy to capture the market with the Stallio as Honda will be launching the Dream Yuga next month. Currently Mahindra enjoys a good market share in the scooter segment with its Duro and Rodeo products. The postponement of the Stallio’s launch also means that the Mojo will not come before 2013. By the time the Mojo arrives, we can expect Yamaha, Suzuki and Hyosung to launch their offerings in the quarter-litre segment.

I astonoshied , fuel is 80rs more costly than USA and no one launching electric car bike new versions……how companies are spoiling envorinment

Kishor, electric bikes are more expensive and hence won’t sell as much as their petrol counterparts.

the worst bike the bad company
i am suffering from this worst bike mahindra stallio since last one & half year, i puchased it in november2010 til the first day its creating a new problem day by day.gear shifting problam,digital meter is not working a little,self elf is not working,head light swithes are not working,chane cover broken,seat and head light are not fitted propperly,handle ,rear break andcentre stand are jammed,tell broken twice,headlight is not set propperly.
chane set, headlight and whole bike noise irritatingly,milage is not good,tyres are not good,mud guard and wires are not fitted well.tools and article boxes are not well disigend and strong. spare parts are not avilable inthe market even in the mahindra showrooms, and above all attitude and behaviour of the company and dealers is very bad with costamars they are not listening and responsing to complaints of the costomars.
since 30th november 2010 to till date i am waiting for the sollution of this biggest problem (stallio) i ever faced,bcoz it was a first biggest investment of my earning and saving of my life and it was totally lossed,i wrote to Amir Khan, mahindra costamar care,indian consumar complains forum and continuasly complained to the dealer and talked to the enginiar of mahindra twowheler but still waiting for the result………..
