Yamaha India seems to be on a roll. First with the Yamaha R15, followed by the Yamaha FZ16 and then the Yamaha FZS. But Yamaha hasn’t stopped yet. They are testing the Fazer 150 for the Indian market and the 150cc segment sure is heating up. Bajaj has been affected by Yamaha’s 150cc attack and soon TVS will cause a bigger menace for Bajaj with the TVS Apache RTR 180. With so many bikes to be launched in the near future, Indian bike enthusiasts have a reason to rejoice, finally.

The Fazer 150 will have a front fairing and is based on the Yamaha FZ16. It looks like a toned down version of the 1000cc Fazer, which is sold in the international markets. Pricing is expected to be similar to the FZ16 and the bike is expected to carry the same engine, maybe with different tuning. Yamaha seems to have beaten Bajaj at their own game of launching thousand of bikes on the same platform. Talk about giving a taste of their own medicine.

Big questions, they are..when and at what cost. I think this will be between the R15 and the FZ16. Gap filler. Look at how Yamaha’s rolling in India. They’re riding a dream.

its good that now yamaha is offering good bikes to the indian customers..but they are not moving beyond the 150cc mark..they should also try their hands on bigger engines atleast of a 250 cc…even i’ve heard abt the kawasaki ninja 250cc will make its indian debut..but still after one and a half after auto expo ..no one can confirm that when it is going to launch..

Its new trend in biking and soon India will have 150 versions of 150cc bikes from Yamaha, Bajaj, Honda, Hero Honda , Tvs and so on…. and we will call it as Guinness world record. no company has @#$%^&* to launch pure biking trend above 250cc segment.

Ash and Noufal, we can’t really say about the power in this bike. Mostly it will get the FZ engine and the price i mentioned was OTR. If you can wait, then you should but since there are not much details about the Fazer we really can’t say much about it, yet.

Both Yamaha R15 and FAZER 150 are good for Indian bike lovers but i am not looking for such a kind of bike.I am looking for a bike that’s top speed must be around 180 to 200. Yamaha India must launch that kind of bike i am waiting to buy such a kind of bike and i am not bothered about mileage and i am also not bothered about the look just i need is the top speed i will be waiting for that kind of bike to launch in India.
