Audi has disclosed details and pictures of their upcoming BMW X1 challenger. The Audi Q3 is a trimmed down version of the Q5 based on the Volkswagen Tiguan platform. The Q5 is obviously the younger sibling of the Q7, Audi’s most popular vehicle in India. The Audi Q3 will share engines with the A4 and will be powered by the 2.0 liter TDi motor producing 170bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. The Q3 will be available with Quattro four wheel drive as well along with 7–speed S tronic automatic transmission. Audi will almost certainly get the Q3 to India and price it against the BMW X1 as it looks to increase its market share in the country. The only question is, will Indian’s take to the Q3 like they took to the Q7? Only time will tell, but the Q3 surely looks exciting as the entry level Audi globally.
