At the Nürburgring, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 has gone faster by four seconds over its previous lap time of 7:26. The new time, with Jan Magnussen at the wheel, is a claimed 7:22.4 for the full 12.93 mile loop. The car is very fast but .3 seconds off Dodge Viper ACR’s timing.

The timing is faster then Porsche GT2′s 7:32 and Nissan GTR’s 7:29 so the Corvette ZR1 surely seems to be quite fast.

first of all why cant they improve the interior quality of the car it looks very cheaply built they should learn from germans cars that are built like tanks these americans know only to make cars go faster they cant get more power from smaller engines they need something like 6.1hemi 6.0 7.0 where as bmw can produce 202bhp and 400nm from a 2.0 diesel thats a fantastic power great for a diesel

Well Germans use turbocharged engine, where as these Chevy V8s have so much torque that it really makes them fast.
