General Motors will launch its MPV in India by the end of the year. This GM MPV is sourced from its Chinese partner SAIC, which produces the Wulling range of commercial vehicles. The first vehicle to be launched is the CN-100 and will be badged as Chevrolet in India. The American automaker will sell its MPV through Chevrolet dealerships and plans to compete in the commercial sector, where Tata and Mahindra dominate.

The Chevrolet CN-100 will be powered by the same Multijet motor which does duty in a majority of the hatchbacks in the country. GM will manufacture the car at its Talegaon facility and will heavility localise it. However some parts will be sourced from China, helping GM in reducing costs significantly. We expect prices to start at Rs. 6 lakhs for this 7-seater MPV, which will compete with the Mahindra Xylo and upcoming Maruti R3 MPV.
