Fiat India plans to take on the Honda City head on with the launch of a more powerful Linea. The current Linea is powered by a 1.3L Multijet diesel which many find underpowered. Thus Fiat is taking corrective actions by launching a higher powered diesel version of Linea at the upcoming Auto Expo in New Delhi. Though there is no confirmation on whether the Fiat Linea will get a 1.6 or 1.9 Multijet, we think its the former. The car is expected to cost Rs. 11 lakhs.

this is really good news…but 11 lacs for a car with questionable A.S.S..i dont think people would be convinced…but the real good news is that it might clear the obstacles for Maruti to launch the same engine in their SX4…and that would be the next sensation…bcoz we hear in many sites that maruti can launch 1.6 DDiS only after FIAT launches 1.6MJD in Linea…guess this is true…

CKRA, Fiat is taking initiatives to improve A.S.S. Maybe the Linea with the 1.9 MJD powerplant will outsell the Civic and Corolla.
