DIfference between Ford Fiesta Limited Edition and the Regular Fiesta (EXi/ZXi/Sxi/S)…
4 speakers (in Limited edition) instead of 6 (in EXi/ZXi/Sxi/S)
No ABS and EBD in the Limited
No leather wrapped steering wheel on Limited & EXi
No electic adjustable outside mirrors on limited
No rear defogger on Limited
No programmable keyless entry & auto-relocking on Limited
No front fog lamps on Limited

I think you get what you pay, hence the stripped down version and the stripped down price

Shib, but still the deal is fantastic. The Fiesta is a very sweet handling car and the 1.6 litre engine is a hoot to drive.

Could anybody give me the idea what would be the on road price in Delhi???
June 5th, 2009 at 7:36 pm
Rana, I don’t know whether the limited edition is still available but it should cost around 6.15 lakhs in Delhi.

I agree it lacks some of the features but it sure is a great value for money specially with added features like improved interiors, inbuilt music system and seat height adjustment etc etc… A classic sedan, great to drive car with 1.6l engine and over 100 bhp… I thought its a steal…
It’s available till June 20, onroad price is ~ 6.05 in Delhi.
Booked one last week and would be taking delivery today…
Hope this performs well and meets up with my expectations…
Cheers

Kunal, the Fiesta at that price is a steal. Its the best car under 10L for a super driving experience. The handling, braking is just spot on and the engine is sweet.

Hi, After lot of thinking, finally I booked and bought the car. It is in first week of my usage and I will able to comment after a month or so. Overall Car is performing wonderfully. Interiors are wonderful and really value for money. only sceptical part is mileage and spare parts.
Let me come back on mileage after a month.

Kamlesh, the mileage is decent for a car of this size and Fords maintenance plan covers the cost of ownership. Congratulations on the Fiesta

Thanks Fas. Almost 3 weeks of usage and it is clocking mileage of 8 Kms per litre of petrol with AC on and very few stoppages. Dealer had already told me that average/mileage will improve only after first 2 services.
Overall good package and happy till now. Lets see…
August 3rd, 2009 at 6:16 pm
Kamlesh, mileage should be somewhere around 10kmpl once you get the service done.

Dear Kamlesh
I am interseted in buying the Ford Fiesta Limited edition. Can you tell be the mileage for the petrol version. Also your overall experience with car till date
August 13th, 2009 at 3:42 pm
Hi Kamlesh,
I took a test drive y’day and am willing to buy it.What was the delivery time for you.My dealer is telling me 25-30 days.
August 30th, 2009 at 6:03 pm
hello sanjeev and Om,
Mileage is almost 9Kmpl of petrol. Overall experience of car is excellent except this mileage part. May be it is too early to conclude as I am yet to do the first service. Mind it – that ford cars do not have resale value and also spare parts are expensive. Though you may spend slightly less as compared to others, I feel if you have extra bucks one can go for Maruti or Honda. My choice was purely because of its initial value on investement as it was quite ok comparatively and I will use this car for atleast another 6-7 years. My first car, I had used for 11 years.
Om, delivery time was close to one month but that was during limited edition which was anyway lot in demand due to its sheer price. If you have really decided on Fiesta, I would recommend you to check on diesel version and it will save you from high petrol cost on regular basis. Flip side is may be Indian government is thinking on de-regulating the fuel price and hence the advantage of diesel may be lost.

The Limited edition is still available. Dealer told me that even the spares price has drastically reduced for these cars (except for Endeavour). This is because they have started manufacturing locally like all other players. Only Endeavour spares are still imported and hence still high price for those.
Thus, only the point of Resale value is now valid.
Frankly speaking the resale value price is dependent on the availability and pricing of spares. Thus that equation may also change.

My suggestion.
I have been using this car for last 6 months.
Only big negative of this car is average. It hardly gives 8-9 km per litre. IF you feel this is ok, rest all are positive.
Dont know about spare parts but have heard lot of negatives about its cost. Overall I feel Maruti is the best if cost of ownership matters.

Manohar, check with your dealer as Ford keeps coming out with limited edition variants of the Fiesta.

Kamlesh, spare costs of Ford cars is not that bad as people talk about. The company has made efforts to reduce the cost of ownership with many plans.
