Force Motors is testing a people carrier, named Trip. We spotted this vehicle on test on Dehu road and looks like a worthy rival to the Tata Magic. We aren’t quite sure of what the Force Trip has different from the current model but slight cosmetic changes are evident. The Trp is powered by a 600cc, IDI diesel motor which produces 13 BHP of power at 3400 RPM and 37 Nm of torque at 2000 RPM. This people carrier can carry 8 people and lacks equipment. There is no AC, ABS or rear disc brakes either. Expect a price of around Rs. 2.5 lakhs (ex-showroom, Pune) for the Trip.
