Satish, pictures from all angles to be updated soon.
kedar August 19, 2011 at 2:03 pm
Nice car mixture of Chevy Tavera and Ford Endevour.
Force priced it correctly and should give good A.S.S. to compete it with Safari and Scorpio.
12kmpl mileage is too low for this car, I was expecting good mileage.
Rohit August 19, 2011 at 2:09 pm
Great pricing look like cheap ford endeavor .
satish August 19, 2011 at 4:02 pm
ya, i too felt same
raj August 19, 2011 at 2:34 pm
Looks really good to me, nice look only if there was ABS instead of cruise control system…
Parvez Khan August 19, 2011 at 3:10 pm
Dear All, This car’s looks exterior & Interiors are based on ISUZU D-MAX pick-up which I m driving currently in Saudi Arabia. No Innovative ideas……. Force One manufacturers are simply copy cats. hehee…..he….he…….
Sasikumar August 19, 2011 at 7:44 pm
By the way, what is the name of this SUV( ex: scorpio, safari,tavera..etc).? Is FORCE ONE is the name of the SUV?
Mileage 12kmpl. Is this city drive or highway drive?
Also will FORCE ONE launch AUTO TRANSMISSION with switching to manual as well.
Does the SUV have traction control similiar to the one in ford endeavour or toyota fortuner.
Rohan August 19, 2011 at 9:31 pm
Overall its a economic proposition for a SUV. Not impressive when it comes to looks.
And Parvez, ISUZU D-MAX pick-up is a better looking vehicle.
ars August 19, 2011 at 9:49 pm
nice pictures
fas August 19, 2011 at 9:50 pm
Thanks Ars.
SBC August 20, 2011 at 12:04 am
Dont think the Big B will drive it inspite of ordering 2 units…maybe he would give to his PA or someone…you cannot replace a Bentley or Phantom with a Force One!!!
fas August 20, 2011 at 11:45 am
SBC, this reminds me in the press conference someone asked him, how does it compare to your Prado. He said he doesn’t have a Prado (he has a Range Rover though). Then someone asked, did you drive it? He said yes, just now (on the stage). People laughed cause he was sitting in the co-passenger seat and Mr. Prasan Firodia was the one driving it.
vinod pillai August 20, 2011 at 6:03 am
Great looking even though a bit copied from X-TRAIL (Lights) and Endeavour (looks). But price wise, affordable. Offroading ability needs to be tested though!!
Overall a great attempt.Kudos to force!! At last a true international looking Desi 4 x 4 for a pocket bearing price.
Guna August 20, 2011 at 11:16 am
Vow…the pics look very tempting. Hope the performance, interiors and service will outshine Tata and M&M. Then it would be the one to beat the market. Eager to see one on the roads…
ashish August 20, 2011 at 11:21 am
front – xtrail
side – endeavour
rear lx 470
hahahahahaha………
ninu August 20, 2011 at 11:48 am
Good SUV at great pricing, hope the quality is at par with the competetion.
fas August 20, 2011 at 1:12 pm
Ninu, competition is Scorpio and Safari and quality of Force One is certainly up there with both.
ignatius August 20, 2011 at 12:14 pm
Please post the review of this vehicle .. whether it is truly a SUV for this killer price … and please do post a comparo …with vehicles similar to the pricing and power output ….
fas August 20, 2011 at 1:11 pm
Ignatius, we will post the review as soon as we drive the vehicle.
Shrey Soni August 20, 2011 at 1:55 pm
It’s like Ford Endeavour at approx. price.
Well done Force.
vinod pillai August 20, 2011 at 5:03 pm
when would Force come cup with ABS and Air bags(at least for driver and front passenger). They are a minimum must for our creepy roads and inorganised traffic / driving !! Add up 3 Lakhs and get them. Even then its a bargain!!
fas August 21, 2011 at 1:13 am
Vinod, on second thoughts, remove the cruise control and give us ABS.
vinod pillai August 21, 2011 at 7:55 pm
Fas,Thats a good idea. Just wanted to know if they plan to get us the 4 x 4 version in future. At Present, even though I own a Q5,cant use it for genuine offroading and hence has got a Thar for the same reason.
But this one with AC(UNLIKE THE THAR) could help us enjoy some genuine offroading in regions around Munnar.
In fact was looking forward to get the new 2012 Fortuner, which is a looker, but Force,at half the cost could be a great saving ,looking at the usage, just for offroading,,,,with 4×4 ofcourse!!
fas August 21, 2011 at 8:06 pm
Vinod, yes a 4×4 model will be launched in March, 2012. Don’t expect the Force One to be as good off-road as the Thar, due to the weight.
Rajan August 20, 2011 at 5:15 pm
Ho Ho… Mahindra/Tata here i come.
Awesome pricing.
I guess this will send Aria to grave. Who will deny a Merc heart?
Huge wheelbase, wondering what the turning radius will be. This i think may be a real pain in our congested streets.
fas August 21, 2011 at 1:16 am
Rajan, turning radius should be around 5.5 m, which is ok for a vehicle of this size.
Rajan August 22, 2011 at 11:11 pm
6M is what i read in the website. I am seeing trouble with that radius.
fas August 23, 2011 at 12:23 am
Rajan, that is alot but ok for an SUV.
rajiv August 20, 2011 at 5:45 pm
BUT, I DON’T THINK SO THAT FORCE WILL BE THE RELIABLE IN SERVICES
fas August 21, 2011 at 1:17 am
Rajiv, that we will have to wait and watch. But since they are putting across a new dealership network for passenger vehicles, I expect decent service.
Rajan August 20, 2011 at 5:50 pm
I am impressed with the feature list and the pricing. Looks rugged. Checked with dealer, will be available on display from early Sep’11
Rajan August 20, 2011 at 5:58 pm
@Rajiv – Agreed 100% on the service netrwork. In fact i was worrying about that. But luckily the workshop is near by my home and hence its not a concern to me. I’ve been passionate about the Force Gurkha but it didnt do well because of poor marketing and service network. Thats a great machine to own. Hope Force now has strategies to avoid what they did to Gurkha.
W201 will compete head on with Force One and Aria 4X2. Pricing will be the decider. If you ask me, Force One and W201 appeals more than an Aria from outside. From Inside, Aria is better (Yet to see w201 in flesh).
fas August 21, 2011 at 1:18 am
Rajan, W201 will easily be priced above 13 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Rohan Thakur August 20, 2011 at 9:17 pm
Amazing SUV !!! Will give a tough compitition, will lave to have one ….
fas August 21, 2011 at 1:22 am
Rohan, make sure you take a test drive before you do so.
hritik August 21, 2011 at 12:33 am
@ fas
i think the interior is nt tht gud…..see the steering, plastic n cabin seems cheap……whts ur say
othr thn tht the suv is god bang for the buck..
fas August 21, 2011 at 1:27 am
Hritik, yes interiors quality not that good but then, its their first attempt and the Force One is almost half the price of the similar sized SUVs.
shinu August 21, 2011 at 12:51 am
superb…..reasonable price …..good luck
Madhav August 22, 2011 at 10:14 pm
I am baffled!
The pictures read 4×4… but review says 4×2???
Great pricing! Looks like a Ford Endaevour!
Very good first attempt from Force! Hope they build upon it.
A car of this size should have come with ABS… Cruise would have followed later! IMHO.
Happy to see Indian companies giving hard times to outsiders.
Now, the Quality and After Sales Service MATTERS!
fas August 23, 2011 at 12:30 am
Madhav, which picture says 4×4. All pictures are named Force One SUV followed by a number.
ed August 23, 2011 at 2:34 pm
AWESOME!!AWESOME!!AWESOME Effort by Force motors I’m sure they will do decent numbers main confidence giving point is the engine & Gear box being from merc…Wat more to say :)
